Eleven Against An army

Kasack’s army surged forward upon his command. They had been waiting for this moment for so long. They were no stranger to slaughter, having pillaged and plundered and destroyed several planets before Earth. Now without Kasack holding them back, they rushed to indulge in their revelry.

Meanwhile, Kasack watched. He wasn’t in a hurry to attack Arran. Instead, he wanted to watch him struggle in futility as all his efforts became wasted. Only then would he act.

As for Arran, he watched as the army of dark creatures and monsters headed for them. His eyes now no longer filled with despair were now resolute. Yet beneath the exterior, Arran remained unconfident about their chances to win. Not when Kasack was around.

If it was only the dark army before them that they had to face, Arran wouldn't be as unconfident as he was now. The gap between them and a Shade lord was too vast to cross with the meager combat power they had on their side.
