“Is it over?”

After the shock died down, the others came to their senses and finally, went over to Arran’s side asking if the battle was finally over. But just as Arran was about to answer, his eyes widened in disbelief as alarm bells started blaring inside his head once again.

“No it’s not… watch out!”

Arran only had enough time to call out in haste before turning around with his scythe swinging, aiming in one direction. But it was already too late.

Just as Arran called out and took action, a blur of motion zipped past his eyes shooting toward the corpse of the decadent horror, reaching it instantly.

The others were also alarmed as they noticed too late that something had moved past them without their notice. If not for Arran’s warning, they might not have even noticed it until it was too late.

Fortunately, they weren’t the targets if not no one knew what would happened if they had been ambushed.

The others felt bad, but none felt as bad as Arran did currently.

Damn it!
