Respite

The cheerful voice ringing out in the silent intercom drew everybody’s attention to the back of the battlefield. There a lithe figure floated all on her lonesome away from the bustle of the battle.

Poltergeist shone with a hazy aura on her body like the distortion of light rays bending characteristically around her. Her eyes were filled with excitement like a child who had discovered a new toy.

Seeing the young woman, the Aeth and Colonel Vehe reeled from recollection, only now remembering that she was also present on this battlefield. For this, they could not be blamed since Poltergeist had remained largely silent after being transported to the battlefield.
