The mission was over and the main command ship returned to the outpost, where all the soldiers were given time to rest. From there, the cadets would return to their various academies, where they would be awarded merits based on their performance.

Naturally, those that performed badly would be given demerits instead and punishment would also be dished out according to the degree of their screw-up.
