Reunion

The lounge of the auction hall had been cleared of all guests, including the bartenders and various attendants. Only five people were present in the wide space.

Arran was being stared at by four pairs of eyes. Not only were Eris and Charmy staring at him, but also the two people that accompanied them.

At this moment, nobody was speaking, and an awkward silence hung in the air. Arran, being the center of attention, felt very uncomfortable. He was thinking of a way to break this awkward silence that felt very stifling to him.

At this moment, the old man in the group, Councilman Taylor, spoke up first, breaking the silence and relieving the awkwardness in the lounge.

“Would anybody like a drink?” Councilman Taylor asked.
