Previously, after the meeting that Carrum, his nine accomplices, and the other nominated decision-makers had conducted, all of them had come to a consensus to deploy the alliance members around the cave and equip a few of them with a few tokens so that it would make locating Arran much easier. At the same time, they had taken the time to restructure the formation of the various teams of the alliance by adding a few more members to the existing teams and letting them carry smoke bombs around to use as a signal.

The massive tide of bugs drowned the entire alliance like an overwhelming flood. Screams of fear and despair could be heard as the alliance members all ran for their lives only to be swallowed by the bug stampede.Some of the alliance members tried to resist as they fought back against the coming tide as they launched one technique after the other into the tide.The abilities of the alliance members were varied and although one person might not have been enough to make a difference, when there were tens of people firing their abilities into the bug tide then there was bound to be some effect.With a few alliance members actively resisting, they were able to buy some time for themselves by taking out a few stampeding bugs at the front of the pack, but studies have shown that before the might of a stampede, all acts of resistance were simply futile.Although the resisting alliance members were able to take down a few of the bugs at the head of the stampede,

Brianna was as ready as she ever could be. Knowing that it was finally time for them to counterattack, Brianna was rearing to go. With excitement clearly visible in her eyes, Brianna looked at the bug tide and the rapidly fleeing alliance members, Brianna eagerly asked Arran. "So tell me, who do we target first?" Sharing the same eagerness that Brianna had, Arran pointed at a few places below them as he said, "There, there and there... these places are were a few tokens a located. Somewhere in the cave, in the middle of thousands of black shelled bugs, a certain participant was desperately resisting the bug tide. There was a blue barrier layer that was made out of energy that was in place around the body of the participant which extended to up to one meter from his body. It was with this barrier that this participant had been able to last this long after being caught in this stampede.This participant was one of the few decision-makers that had been selected to supervise the alliance along with Carrum and his accomplices. For this person to be selected out of the many participants in the alliance, it could be said that his strength was recognized a little among their circle and that he was not too weak. But in the face of this disaster, this person proved not to be strong enough to do much except to hold on.even if this participant was still able to resit for this long but he could do no more than that and he was simply swept along with the bug
