Chapter 102

Bruce was sorting through some paperwork in the station when his phone rang. He checked the caller ID but it was an unknown caller. Bruce was skeptical about picking up the phone. It might still be Kelly calling him.

Ever since she left, the station has been somewhat uncomfortable for him. She had turned in her resignation letter and left immediately after she confirmed Ivan's death. Bruce was then meant to close the case which he concluded to be an unfortunate accident. The explosion was accredited to a gas explosion and everything else went as it should.

"Detective Bruce. This is officer Joel from the city's correctional center. I'm calling in respect of a prisoner you sent here some time ago. Joe Thorn," a man said over the phone.
