Lecter's gaze narrowed as he listened to his employee's words, his mind racing with shock and anger. "What do you mean, the contractor terminated his contract?" he asked, his voice low and deadly.

Jared had a multi-million contract with Lecter up until that point. What would make him cancel terms?

His employee, a nervous-looking man named Alex, shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "I'm sorry, sir. I just received word from our legal team. The contractor, Jared, has terminated his contract with our company, effective immediately."

Lecter's eyes flashed with rage, his fists clenched at his sides. "That's impossible," he snarled. "Jared was one of our most trusted contractors. What reason did he give for terminating the contract?"

Alex hesitated, his eyes darting nervously around the room. "He...he cited a conflict of interest, sir. He said he couldn't continue working with us due to personal reasons."
