Dinner had quickly taken a turn as Lecter refused all of Morris' meals. Coincidentally, Venita had to miss the dinner to seal a deal with a fashion company which couldn't wait.

Morris, on the other hand had just said something utterly provocative to Lecter.

“What are you talking about?” He spat at Morris who stared at him, no remorse on his pale stricken face.

“Kent did a good job hiding the truth from you but now he’s dead and I’ve been caught so there’s no reason to hold the truth from you anymore.”

“What truth are you talking about, you despicable low-life?”

Morris cackled, resembling a man who’s sanity had been stripped from him,

“I may be a despicable low-life or a murderer. But your father isn’t that far off.” He grinned, “Your father was the one who took away from you the privilege of having a mother, not me.”

Lecter felt as though he would soon implode. He wrinkled his forehead, trying to push away the migraine that was soon followed.
