The next morning, the familiar hum of machines filling the air as he tinkered with a small drone on his workbench in his secret room. His focus wasn’t on the drone, though. His eyes kept flicking toward the large screen in front of him, where Marcus Grey's name blinked steadily at the top of a list. Beneath Marcus’s name were four others—names of people with grudges against the Winters and Victor Aldridge.

Leon sighed, wiping grease from his hands onto a cloth. "Alright," he muttered to himself. "Time to visit some old friends."

He leaned against the desk, skimming through the list:

1. Evelyn Cross – A once powerful media tycoon whose empire was crushed by Sofia Winter’s false scandals.

2. Damien Knox – An underground fighter betrayed by Victor Aldridge, left with permanent injuries.

3. Helena Drake – A brilliant scientist whose funding was stolen by the Winters, ruining her career and causing her to go bankrupt.

4. Tobias Grant – A former politician brought down by Victor’s blackmail schemes.

The system’s voice chimed in softly. "I recommend starting with Evelyn Cross. Her influence over the media will weaken the Winters’ public image, making the next steps easier."

Leon smirked. "Good thinking. Guide me to her estate."

The screen displayed a map, and Leon grabbed his jacket. "Let’s see how much fire she still has left."

Evelyn Cross’s estate sat atop a hill, overlooking the city like a queen watching her subjects. Leon pulled up to the tall iron gates, which slowly opened as his car approached. He stepped out and was greeted by a stern looking butler at the door.

"Ms. Cross will see you now," the butler said, leading Leon into the grand house.

Leon wondered in his mind. does she know who I am yet?

Evelyn sat in a sunlit lounge, draped in an elegant silk robe. She sipped tea, her piercing blue eyes watching Leon carefully as he entered.

"Leon," she greeted, her tone cool but curious. "I never expected you to come to me this soon. The billionaire Leon Carter who became a billionaire overnight. how did you it?

Leon stared on at her. she is a tech-witch no doubt. Leon smirked at her. "you are smart".

What brings you here?"

Leon took a seat across from her, resting his hands on his knees. "I want to bring down the Winters. I know what they did to you. I’m offering you a chance to get even."

Evelyn raised a delicate eyebrow. "Is that so? And what do I get out of this? Revenge doesn’t pay the bills."

Leon smiled slightly. "I can restore your media connections. I have resources they aren’t aware of. I can help rebuild your empire. All I need is your influence to turn the public against them."

Evelyn’s fingers tapped lightly against the teacup, her eyes narrowing in thought. "You are bold, Leon. I must commend your braveness by coming into my territory as if you own it. I like that. But words are cheap. Show me results, and I’ll help."

"You’ll see them sooner than you think," Leon replied, standing up. "Expect my call."

Leon’s next stop was a gym on the outskirts of town. The place smelled of sweat and hard work, and in the center of the ring stood Damien Knox, barking orders at a group of young fighters.

Leon leaned against the ropes, watching for a moment before calling out, "Still training the next generation, Damien?"

Damien glanced over his shoulder, his face hardening when he saw Leon. "who are you and What do you want?"

Leon stepped closer. "I’m putting together a team to bring down Victor Aldridge. I know what he did to you. I can make sure he pays."

Damien wiped his face with a towel, stepping out of the ring. "You think I care about fighting again? Aldridge took more than just my career. He humiliated me."

"I know," Leon said calmly. "Which is why I need you. I can offer a way back in. I’ve got connections with promoters, but more importantly, I need someone who knows the streets. Aldridge still has influence out here, and I need it gone."

Damien considered him for a long moment before extending his hand. "I’m in. Just make sure he suffers."

That evening, Leon entered a cluttered workshop where Helena Drake worked, surrounded by half-finished inventions and tangled wires.

"If you’re here for money, you can forget it, I know the winters couldn't give you what you wanted. I refuse to help anyone connected to the winter." Helena snapped without looking up.

Leon chuckled softly. "I’m not here for money. I’m here to make the Winters pay. I know they stole your research. I can help you get it back."

Helena finally looked up, pushing her glasses higher on her nose. "How exactly do you plan to do that and why did you suddenly turn against them."

"Same course as you are fighting. I'll fund your projects, get you access to your old lab. In return, I need information. The Winters still use your stolen tech. You know how to break it."

Helena’s eyes narrowed. "You want sabotage."

Leon nodded. "Yes."

Helena smirked slightly. "Get me my lab back, and you’ll have your sabotage."

Leon smiled as he stepped into his car. He was forming great alliance. His car came to a stop.

It was an old diner. Tobias Grant sat in the corner, nursing a cup of coffee. His once crisp suit looked worn, and dark circles hung under his eyes.

"Hi, Tobias greeted tiredly. "Are you here for someone? Care for a cup of coffee."

Leon slid into the booth across from him. "I know Victor still haunts you. I can help end it."

Tobias stirred his coffee slowly. "What can you offer that I haven’t tried already?"

Leon pulled a small USB drive from his pocket, placing it on the table. "Proof. All the dirt Victor’s been hiding. You help me, and this goes public."

Tobias stared at the drive, his fingers trembling slightly before he pocketed it. "I’m in. Just tell me when."

As Leon drove home, the system chirped softly. "They’re all in place. When will you strike?"

Leon smirked, watching the city lights blur by. "Soon. Let them feel safe for a little longer. When we hit, it’ll be hard enough to make sure they never stand again."

The Winters estate hall shone like a jewel under the night sky. The sprawling mansion stood tall, its grand architecture was a testament to power and wealth. Tonight, the grand ballroom was alive with music, laughter, and the clinking of crystal glasses. The room dazzled with golden chandeliers, polished marble floors, and guests draped in expensive designer clothing. Everywhere Leon Carter turned, there was a reminder that he didn’t belong there. Standing near a corner, Leon adjusted his simple black suit as he behaved like a gentleman. The suit was clean and neat, but it lacked the designer labels that everyone else wore to the ballroom. He felt their eyes on him, the whispers loud enough to cause a deadly sting. "Who is that?" A well dressed woman asked, her voice carrying just enough to ensure Leon heard. She did that to get his attention. "Sophia's husband," Another answered with a smirk. "The nobody she married on a whim. How pathetic it looks." The first woman laughed

The rain poured down from the dark sky, soaking Leon Carter as he walked through the empty streets. His clothes were drenched, and the cold water clung to his skin, but it didn’t bother him. His mind was too busy replaying the words that had cut him deep earlier that day. Every insult, every sneer, every look of pity. It all echoed in his head like a broken record. He stopped at a small park and sat on a wooden bench. The dim streetlights barely lit the area, casting long shadows around him. He buried his face in his hands, feeling the weight of everything pressing down on him. “Is this it?” he muttered to himself, his voice barely audible over the sound of the rain. “Is this all I’ll ever be?” Just then, a soft chime broke through the silence. Leon frowned and pulled out his phone. The screen lit up, showing a strange message: "System Activation: Life Advancement System Online. Do you want to change your fate? Y/N" Leon stared at it, confused. “What is this?” he whispered. “

It was no ordinary shop. it brimmed with futuristic designs, high-tech gadgets, and the latest must haves for tech enthusiasts. His employees moved with purpose, attending to curious customers who wandered into the sleek, modern space. Leon kept a low profile, blending into the background as the owner. He had no intention of drawing attention to himself. Not yet. The chime of the door startled him from his thoughts. He looked up, his chest tightening when he recognized the two figures who stepped inside. Sophia, his ex-wife, and Ethan, the man who had been the bane of his existence. Sophia’s heels clicked against the polished floor as she entered, her eyes scanning the store with interest. “Wow,” she said, glancing around. “This place is stunning. It’s so... trendy. It was early morning when Leon entered his store. The gadget shop was thriving, buzzing with activity as the staff prepared for the day’s customers. Leon walked in quietly, his calm demeanor masking the storm within him. He had barely settled in his office when a knock on the door interrupted his thoughts. “Come in,” he said firmly. The door creaked open, and the security guard from the previous day stepped inside. His face was pale, and his hands were clenched nervously at his sides. “Sir,” the guard began, his voice shaky. “I… I owe you an apology. I didn’t know you were the owner. If I had… I…” the guard didn't know he was the owner of the tech house not until he was ordeeiny the manager to go apologize to him, Else he would be fired. Leon raised a hand to silence him. “You didn’t know. But that doesn’t excuse your actions. Leon spent the next few days trying to push thoughts of the stubborn girl out of his mind. No matter how much he focused on other tasks, her face and sharp words kept popping up. “Forget it,” Leon muttered to himself one morning, getting ready to head out. “I have bigger things to deal with.” The system tasks had kept him busy, but today he wanted a break. He grabbed his jacket, checked his phone, and decided to treat himself to a good meal. The weather had cleared up, and the thought of eating at a luxurious restaurant seemed like a nice distraction. Leon arrived at La Belle Royale, one of the most upscale restaurants in the city. Its golden lights and marble entrance made it look like a palace. People in elegant suits and dresses walked in and out, chatting and laughing. Leon stepped inside, his calm confidence setting him apart from the crowd. The system had given him a task, but if he didn’t know where to start, he’d have to rely on resources. The phone rang twice before a rough voice answered. “Leon? What’s up?” the voice at the other end asked. “I need you to find someone,” Leon said firmly, leaning back against his chair. “I don’t know her name or address, but I can describe her.” The man on the other end groaned. “That’s vague, Leon. You’re not giving me much to work with.” Leon ignored the comment and continued. “She has long brown hair almost like chocolate. Green eyes. There’s a small scar, a mark, on her left palm. She was wearing a light blue dress with white sandals the day I met her.” “You sure about all that?” the man asked. “Yes,” Leon replied with certainty. He could still picture her perfectly. “Find her. Fast.” “Fine. It’ll take me a day or two or probably weeks, but I’ll

The next morning, sunlight crept through Leon’s curtains, casting long shadows across the room. He sat at the edge of his bed, staring down at his hands. Clara had been dropped off safely at her apartment the night before, but the echoes of her sobs still lingered in his mind. The system had gone silent since then. Leon stood, slipping on a black t-shirt and jeans before heading toward the kitchen. The smell of fresh coffee filled the air. As he poured a cup, the system chimed. “Incoming call – private line.” Leon set down his cup. “Answer.” A familiar voice greeted him. It was his old friend, Mason. “Leon. The rain had stopped by the time Leon arrived at La Belle Royale. The streetlights reflected off the wet pavement, and the restaurant glowed softly against the darkening sky. Leon’s footsteps echoed faintly as he crossed the sidewalk, stopping briefly to glance inside through the glass windows. The place was just as busy as always , tables full, waiters moving quickly, and the sound of clinking glasses drifting into the night air. Leon stepped inside. The familiar warmth of the restaurant enveloped him, along with the rich smells of roasted chicken and freshly baked bread. The chandeliers hanging from the ceiling cast a golden light over the dining area, and gentle music played in the background. His eyes scanned the room, but there was no sign of the Clara. His sharp gaze flicked from table to table, searching for her – brown hair, green eyes, the timid look she always wore when working. Nothing. Leon sat in his system room, the glow from the large monitors reflecting in his sharp, focused eyes. The room was quiet, except for the faint hum of machines working around him. Streams of data flowed across the screens like rivers of light. The air smelled faintly of metal and leather, a reminder of how much time he spent here. His chair creaked as he leaned back, staring at the main display. His fingers hovered over the controls, waiting. The ballroom incident still lingered in his mind – the men in suits, the strange tension, and Clara’s worried face. Something felt unfinished. Suddenly, the system chimed. Leon watched as the girl adjusted the hem of her dress, still flustered from the incident. Her cheeks were flushed, and she avoided eye contact with the crowd, as if hoping to disappear into the floor. "Relax," Leon said quietly, leaning against the wall beside her. "They'll forget about it in five minutes." She let out a nervous laugh. "I doubt that. I’m not exactly blending in here." Leon studied her for a moment. There was something different about her, something the others didn’t have. She didn’t fit in, but that wasn’t a bad thing. "I'm Leon, by the way." The girl hesitated before finally offering a small smile. "Clara." "Nice to meet you, Clara." Across the ballroom, Sophia was still watching. Her lips curled into a sly smirk as she whispered something to her mother. Leon knew exactly what they were saying, mocking him, laughing at the fact that he had chosen to talk to Clara instead of mingling with the high society elites. But he didn’t care. The night was you

Leon’s car rolled to a stop under the flickering light of a streetlamp. The rain had passed, leaving behind a faint mist that clung to the pavement. The night air was cold and quiet, with only the occasional distant hum of traffic. He switched off the engine and leaned back for a moment, letting the silence sink in. This was the spot. The woman had highlighted out before slipping away like a shadow. Leon stepped out of the car, his boots splashing lightly in the puddles that stretched across the cracked pavement. He glanced around. The area wasn’t busy—just a few late-night wanderers and the odd car cruising by. His coat shifted as he took a few steps toward the corner of the street. The place felt strange. Not in a dangerous way, but as if something was waiting just ahead, unseen. It was a slum. He rubbed the back of his neck, puzzled. Why did the system want him to make her fall for him? It didn’t make sense. He wasn’t here for romance or games. The mission was supposed to be
