Troy wanted Bethany to leave the city so that he could concentrate and not have two women in the same state. So he took her to the southern part of it, so he could easily come see her without traveling around thereby raising suspicions.

So the reason why he wanted her to sell the house was because he wanted her to move so that he could continue his promiscuous act with her, without fearing of being caught by his wife or his father in-law.

"Of course I would love to." Liam replied as they both went inside the house together. "Is your husband in?" Liam asked. "Not at all Liam, he went on a little trip to meet up with some few clients." Elizabeth replied. "Really?" Liam asked. "Yeah, he'll be back in a few weeks." Elizabeth replied.

Troy realizing that this has escalated quickly than what he had hoped for began to panic, the next thing he could think of doing was to find a way to talk to his wife Elizabeth, in hopes that she hasn't seen any of those posts or even if she had, he could make her believe it was a rumor. He took his phone and dialed her number but no response. Troy tried calling his wife over and over again, but to no avail. Due to a guilty conscience, he wasn't sure if his wife had seen the pictures or not. His heart was beating too fast in his chest because he had no idea why his wife was ignoring his calls. Logan was worried about how he would present himself to Patricia Howard. He was in a car which had pulled up in their family's mansion, but he didn't know how to approach the building. “Boss, are we going to go in there anytime soon?” Sharon asked. “I am nervous because how would you react if the man who loves you left you and ran after another woman for three years, then he comes running back to you after that relationship you were so sure of failed. I am pretty sure that you wouldn't want to associate with such a man. That is the kind of situation I am in right now.” Logan uttered. Sharon remains quiet because if she were in Patricia's shoes she would have murdered him. “You see? Even, you are quiet about this, I am nothing but a fool.” Logan uttered and began to question why he had come all the way here in the first place. “Boss, I believe if you want to continue your relationship with her you should give it a try rather than cower by staying in the car and not make a move.

“Darling, let him speak okay? Please at least let's hear what he has to say.” Mrs Howard uttered calming her raging husband. “What else does he want to see except sorry? Didn't you watch how your daughter cried? Didn't you know how she felt hurt by his escapades? He left our daughter with no explanations, nothing, he just woke up one day and ran away with someone else. Someone beneath my daughter, how should I react to that, no, tell me honey?” Mr Howard blurted out in rage. “I know there is nothing I will say that will make up for all what I did before. There is nothing I will say that will change whatever happened, but I just want you to know that I am deeply sorry. I came here with the aim of apologizing in order to make sure that I right my wrongs. I was skeptical about coming in the first place because I was afraid, I would get this response. I mean who wouldn't.” Logan Hudson Bentley uttered. “You are right about that for once, I agree with you on this.” Mr Howard uttered.

“Can I come in?” He asked as he met her eyes that were staring back at him coldly. “No you can't! You lost that right years ago, if you have anything to say, say it right here and now and leave!” Patricia Howard uttered. “I know that you have every reason to hate me. In fact I hate myself Patricia. I am so sorry for leaving you for someone else.” Logan uttered. “Oh please, of course you are not sorry Logan. You are not, if your relationship or marriage hadn't failed you wouldn't have been sorry that's just the truth you would still be married to her. I looked you up, was I not into you all this while, I was your best friend or at least I thought I was, you broke off the engagement without even a word.” Logan was beyond pained hearing this. The truth of the matter is that Patricia was the one who was hurting the most and she was right about one thing: if Bethany hadn't betrayed him he would never have felt sorry he never might have even bothered to reach out to Patricia. “There i

The next morning, during breakfast, Mrs Howard noticed that her daughter kept smiling while eating. She didn't want to say anything about it until Logan had left. Because Logan, Sharon and the Howard family were having breakfast together, so asking her daughter something of that nature might be quite embarrassing for her. “So Logan, how is business?” Mr Howard asked. “Well it's moving slower than expected but with my diligence and my team's hard work I am pretty sure we will overcome any obstacles.” Logan uttered sternly. “That's good to hear, how is Terrence doing?” Mrs Howard asked. “He's getting better I believe.” Logan retorted while eating. Hearing that made Mr Howard shocked, there is no way Terrence would be sick and he wouldn't know about it even if they were both at odds with each other. “You mean to say uncle is sick?” Patricia asked with worry in her eyes. “Oh yes, when I got back he was really not doing great, I believe they said he had ALS and that his strength

Patricia had gone to check on a renovation project upstairs, giving Logan a rare moment alone with his children. He leaned forward, resting his arms on the table. “You’re all too busy.” Seraphina smirked. “That’s rich, coming from you.” Logan chuckled. “I know. But when was the last time you all sat like this? No boardrooms, no deals, no strategies?” None of them answered and then Logan sighed. “You were raised to be strong, to command, to win. But power without family means nothing.” Alexander exhaled, rubbing his temples. “You’re getting sentimental here, Dad.” “Maybe,” Logan admitted and continued; “Or maybe I just don’t want you three to lose what I fought so hard to build, which was not the empire, but this.” Alexander tapped the rim of his glass. “And what exactly is this?” Logan looked at them, they were his legacy, his greatest creations, he utt

Tonight, however it was not about power or strategy, it was about family. Seraphina Bentley stepped out of her sleek car, a product of her company’s innovation. There were unspoken words between them For years, Troy had imagined this very moment when he would talk to his son in person again, he had rehearsed apologies in the quiet of his guilt, whispered confessions into thin air, but now, standing before his son, no words seemed enough. Ethan’s fists clenched at his sides, his expression unreadable. There was hesitation in his eyes, a war between the hurt of abandonment and the reluctant gratitude he couldn’t ignore. The weight of Troy’s absence had shaped him in ways no one would hope for, but then the knowledge that his father had, in his own way, protected him from Arthur’s threats, from a darkness Ethan never fully understood. "You left me," Ethan said at last, his voice quiet but razor-sharp. "For years, I told myself I’d never forgive you, I even hoped we would never meet." Troy’s th

Ethan was right behind him; he was just a young man who hated violence, but he wanted to help them out, since his father did the same. Troy’s worst fear was confirmed when he saw the back door wide open. 'Oh no, no no…’ Troy thought. His blood went ice cold as he couldn't hear any sound, he walked gently into the house. “Amelia!” he shouted, but no one answered, there was silence. Then suddenly, there was a thud from upstairs. Troy moved fast, taking the stairs two at a time. Ethan followed, his heart pounding. The bedroom door was locked, but Troy kicked it open, his eyes widened. What he saw made him freeze, Amelia was there. A man in black had her, one arm wrapped tightly around her throat, the other holding a knife to her stomach. Her eyes widened when she saw Troy. “Troy… I am sorry,” she muttered. The man tightened his grip and uttered; “One more step, and s

Troy and Ethan sat in the back of a black SUV, parked a block away from Arthur’s location. Ethan was scared out of his wits, his hands clenched. “I don’t like this,” Ethan muttered. Troy checked his watch, his expression unreadable. “Son, you don’t have to like it. You just have to follow my lead.” Ethan let out a sharp breath. “Arthur thinks I’m selling you out. What if he catches on that I am lying to him? He will kill me and you.” Troy finally turned to him, his gaze transfixed on him, he uttered; “Then we make sure he doesn’t walk away out of this place tonight.” Ethan swallowed hard, he had always seen Troy as the controlled, sophisticated filmmaker, but now? Now, he was looking at a man who had been in the shadows, in the dark before, a man who knew exactly how to handle threats or who used to give one in the past. Troy’s phone buzzed and it was a message from Author. ‘Warehouse. 30 minutes. Come alone.’ Ethan’s stomach twisted. “It’s a setup, Troy.” Troy smirked

Ethan continued. “He wants me to set you up. If I don’t, he’s threatening Amelia.” There was silence. Then, Troy’s voice dropped to something dangerous; “Where is he?” Ethan exhaled shakily. “Troy, you don’t understand. Arthur isn’t just some con man. He’s dangerous. He has people. He won’t stop until…” Troy cut him off. “I don’t care who he has.” His voice was deadly calm. “No one threatens my family.” Ethan hesitated. “So… what do we do?” Troy leaned back, his mind racing.
