Baton and his gang burst into mocking laughter. Baton raised his hand as if to applaud Logan's audacity. "You hear that, guys? Our new friend here thinks we aren't his buddies."

The laughter died down, and Baton's expression turned cold. "Thanks for the money, kid," he said with a wicked smile, "but we're not leaving you until you regret messing with us."

With a signal from Baton, his henchmen began to close in on Logan, their fists clenched and expressions menacing. Logan's pleas for mercy fell on deaf ears as the blows started to rain down on him. Pain surged through his body, and his vision blurred with tears.
