CHAPTER FIFTY SIX

As Logan continued to move through the crowd, the two men who had been following him pretended to engage in a casual conversation. Their actions were anything but inconspicuous, and Logan could sense their eyes on him. He knew they had recognized him and were following him with ominous intentions.

A thought crossed Logan's mind, a brief temptation to confront them, to ask to see their boss and explain himself. But before he could act on it, they abruptly changed direction and started heading back to where they had come from. Logan wasn't buying it; something wasn't right.

Panicking, he tried to blend into the growing crowd, his mind racing for an escape plan. He regretted ever coming here; being spotted by the bikers first had sealed his fate, making it unlikely that anyone of them would listen to his explanations.
