CHAPTER SEVENTY FOUR

As Logan and his former boss continued their conversation about the financial settlement, Mr. Williams asked, "Logan, is there anything you'd like to change about our agreement?"

Logan replied, "No, Mr. Williams, the agreement stands as it is."

The room fell into a tense silence. Logan really wanted to threaten him with his secret but knew that he couldn't mention the documents yet, as he hadn't retrieved them. His plan to expose the embezzlement scheme had to remain covert until he had the evidence in his hands.

With a forced smile, he continued, "I appreciate your willingness to resolve this matter, Mr. Williams. I'll bid you goodbye for now."

Mr. Williams nodded and accompanied Logan to the door, his concern simmering beneath the surface. As Logan stepped outside, he contemplated his next moves, knowing that the documents were still within his former boss's reach.
