CHAPTER SIXTY SIX

Logan was led to a hospital room, where he was carefully examined and treated by the medical staff. The nurse attending to him was efficient and gentle, her hands skilled in the art of tending to injuries. Logan winced as she cleaned and bandaged his wounds, the stinging sensation a reminder of the physical toll he had endured.

Once his injuries had been tended to, Logan felt a wave of exhaustion wash over him. The hospital bed seemed inviting, and he allowed himself to succumb to the drowsiness that had been building since the ordeal at the police station.

He drifted into a deep, dreamless sleep. The hours passed by unnoticed, and when he finally stirred, the room was bathed in the soft glow of the evening sun. His body ached, but he was determined to leave the hospital and face the world outside once more.
