CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN

The events of the previous night weighed heavily on Logan's mind as he lay in his new apartment, trying to get some rest. He had attempted to communicate with the enigmatic system that had given him the task to expose the gang's secret but had received no response. Frustration and curiosity gnawed at him, but he had decided to put it aside for the night and get some much-needed sleep.

Morning came quickly, and Logan found himself reluctantly climbing out of bed. Even with the financial cushion in his bank account, he knew he couldn't afford to get lazy at home. He needed a job to keep himself occupied and avoid dwelling on the troubles he had left behind on Crescent Street.

Logan hurriedly dressed and made his way to the canteen where he had secured employment. He hailed a cab, and it wasn't long before he arrived at his workplace. As he paid the cab driver and turned to head towards the canteen entrance, his heart sank.
