Chapter 12: Request of the potion maker (Part 3)

A small girl appeared walking around. Looking at her she looks very sleepy. Rubbing her hand to her eyes she looks around searching for someone. She’s so sleepy she didn’t notice that the house she’s living in was already destroyed.

"Mama... Mama... Where are you?"

Turning my glance on the innocent. I girl I realized that I have something I need to do. Instead of thinking things negatively. I must stand up and protect those people who need protection.

"Kanon! Thank goodness, you're we need to hurry up and escape this place."

"Mama, what's the breakfast?"

The worried mother runs toward her child. She hugs her tightly and carries her away.

"Some small fries destroyed the sleeping spell… Do you think you can go away?"

Kouki uses her vines to catch the mother and her daughter. Before it catches the mother and her daughter. I cut the vine with my wind blade.

"What the?"

"I'm not done yet... Wind skill: Wind Force!"

Wind force Skill: a skill that compresses a huge amount of wind and releasing it with intense force like an explosion on one swing. It can't cut like a wind blade but it can smash and break things.

I smashed Kouki downward.

“What’s the deal with this little girl? Her being able to use such advanced technology is not normal at all."

Kouki started to become wary of my action.

The mother and daughter show their gratitude by bowing their head on me and saying “Thank you.” After that, they immediately run away to save themselves from the possible dangers.

Seeing my display of power. The minotaur steps forward and makes a grinning expression.

"This one... This one... This one is strong. I want to battle her and prove who's stronger."

"It's not fair, I want to battle the little girl too."

Kouki said.

They started a little quarrel.

And then Kaoru take advantage and made her move.

"Fire spell: Flame pillar!"

Accompanied with her chant. Flames burn the plant body of Kouki.

"Laura leave this plant girl to me… I think I can beat this girl using my fire magic.”

Kaoru has a point, her magic flames don't affect the minotaur. Fire is a weakness of Plant. Kaoru battling Kouki brings her an advantage.

"Leave this Minotaur to me… But first, we need to separate them."

I said and started to rush toward the plant girl.

Wind skill: Wind force !!

I blasted the plant girl flew far away from the Minotaur. Kaoru followed Kouki using her broom and started their battle from afar.

Now this will become one on one battle between me and this monster.

"Seems like you pick a wrong opponent little girl."

Minotaur said.

I try to remember everything I learn while I'm training. In this battle, I will prove if I’m good enough to travel in this dangerous world.

I tightly grip my sword and feel the flow of natural and mana energy.

Stay calm and think before you strike.

I hold my sword and place it in front of me.

Minotaur charges like a bull in my direction.

"Wind skill: Flowing gust."

By manipulating the wind. I envelop my body with wind and made myself float in the air for a little moment and dodge the right arm strike. One strike from the Minotaur created a devastating impact on the land.

Seeing the damage done by its right arm. I started to realized that I'm going to die if something like that smashed my body.

"Wind skill: Air force!"

Using Wind Force I smash down Minotaur to the ground and then I followed my Wind blade skill.

The minotaur avoided the Wind blade.

I started to release the intense amount of mana in my body and grip my sword. I charge toward Minotaur directly and slash his body.

Minotaur catches my sword and grabs it tightly. Blood gushes out from his blood as she strengthens his grip on my sword. Him knowing that I can’t take off my grip. He decided to swing me around and then threw me in further distance.

Using flowing gust skill I'm able to land slowly on the land. The moment I landed the Minotaur is already made his move and dashed. He attacks me with his horn attack.

I intercepted his horn with my sword. The impact of his horn made my body vibrate. I focused my magic on my body and sword. Resulting in my body enduring such strength. My body also gains a boost in physical power.

Minotaur and I started melee combat. We attack each other and block each other's attacks at the same time.

I kick some dust from the ground toward its eyes and slash him down.

Minotaur blocked my sword and make a counter.

I tried to block his counterattack with my sword, but the strength he produces on his fist is more powerful. Sending me flying to the ground.

I get up and prepared myself for combat.

“Amazing! Those fierce eyes of you… I like it! You’re hundred times much better than some adult coward adventurers… Keep standing and fight me until I’m satisfied…”

The cut I gave to him started to heal again. Making my early effort go to waste. His regeneration ability is not ordinary. I must think of a way to defeat him or else many people will die.

"... A human can't defeat us especially a little girl like you. You can't defeat a monster from the dark continent."

"Dark continent?"

"That's right, We’re no ordinary monsters… Kouki and I are some creatures from the dark continent. We just found our self lucky and get through the human territory… It's almost two years when we arrive here. Thanks to a black portal created to the small town on the edge of the map, we arrive at this territory without any trouble."

A small town on the edge of the map? Almost two years ago? Does that mean this monster is one of the monster raided my town before?

My mana started to flow intensely than before. Burning emotions rapidly flow through my body. I turned my raging eye’s toward his direction.

"Are you saying? You're with those demons that attack my town."

"Demons? Were no exactly demons, we are dark beings. Look like you're one of those survivors from that village. I remember the time I eat fresh human flesh and it's so good. It's a shame when stupid knights arrived to stop us..."

"Enhance Wind skill: Wind blade barrage!”

I started to slash him continuously. My body got lighter and faster than before. Each of my attacks makes a deep cut in his body.

“What’s with this power? It’s different from before. How can a little girl like you has this much magic and energy on your body?”

With each deep cut, I made on his body. Blood of his sprayed around. My speed dramatically increased at the moment and I’m not even sure what’s the reason behind it.

Without noticing my hair started to change color. My light brown hair is a change to Aqua blue hair.

"Dark enhancer…"

Minotaur chanted. His body was then enveloped by a dark aura. His body became darker and bigger.

"... This is not allowed to happened… Because I am strong!"

Minotaur became stronger with his new form.

“I can’t let evil monsters like you live in this world anymore.”

Focusing my magic and energy on my sword. I focus and put off my rage on my next move. I made a powerful step forward and swing my sword down.

“Wind magic: Wind cloaked Dimension slash!”

As a swing my sword the world seems to stop for a split second. The blade from my sword reached Minotaur and cut his body in half. From his head to his bottom.

At that moment, I was surprised that I even manage to pull out the strongest skill. Koyuki teach me. Tha skill acquires a huge amount of magic. After using it the user should suffer from Mana sickness for a while.

But for some reason, I didn’t feel any sickness after using it.

After being cut in half. Minotaurs body fell and started to burn in black flames leaving nothing. Its ashes disappeared as it flew through the air.

I still didn’t notice the change in my appearance. After defeating Minotaur. My hair goes back to normal.

“I wonder what happened to Kaoru?”

With curiosity, I decided to go in their direction.

Arriving at the place. I notice that the battle already ended. Koaru looks disappointed.

“Kaoru, what happened did you kill the monster?”

“Unfortunately, the plant monster manages to get away by dring on the ground. I tried to chase her but it’s useless. She got so far deep. My fire magic can’t reach her anymore… Seems like you defeated the Minotaur.”

“I just got lucky… Suddenly a huge amount of magic flows on my body leading me into victory. I don’t know what’s exactly it was.”

“Don’t overthink about those things. The important thing is that you win the fight.”

"That’s right, thank you."

"What are you saying? I'm the one who's suppose to thank you. You're the one who helped me battle the monsters."

Kaoru said.

After hearing that I made a little smile on my face and averted my eyes away. I’m still feeling dejected to the fate some people in this place met. Many of them die after receiving an attack from the monsters while they are sleeping.

I started to lost balance in my body. My eyes give up and I fell. Kaoru catches my body and gazes at my tired sleeping expression.

"You already work hard, it’s time to have some good night's sleep.”

Koaru decides to bring me to their house and let me sleep.
