Chapter 4

Mlynar and Cellinina were in the car, on their way to the hospital.

"Thanks for willing to save my grandfather; I am very grateful," Cellinina stated.

Mlynar politely nodded.

"Take this as a gift for your help," she said, stretching a card at him.

Mlynar just looked at it.

"It contains 3 million dollars; you can withdraw it at any time." She offered.

Mlynar shook his head, "Thanks, but you don't have to. I am not treating him for any compensation, and I can't assure you I will be able to heal him. If I succeed, I won't charge money."

This made Cellinina admire him; she didn't believe there was someone as gentle and kind as him.

She smiled. Just then, Mlynar's phone rang, and it was from Cynthia. Reluctantly, he picked it up.

"Hello, I heard you hit my brother. Is that true?" she said with an authoritative voice.

"Yeah, because..." he was about to explain, but Cynthia cut him off.

"You really did, how could you? Just because I divorced, is that a reason you vent the anger on my brother and call my mom a bitch?" she yelled, and Cellinina could hear their conversation.

"That isn't the case, Cynthia, it is..."

She interrupted him again, "shut your mouth up. I can't believe you again. Anything that comes from your mouth is lies; you are a fake."

"You listened to your mother and brother, why not listen to me also".

"Just as I said, I can't believe you… I realise you have nothing in your mouth except lies".

"Okay, if that is what you want to believe," Mlynar said.

"You better come back and apologize to them," Cynthia prompted.

Mlynar scoffed, "you don't mean that? I should apologize even when I'm the victim."

"Mlynar, stop playing the victim and come up clean. Then I will forget and won't press further."

Mlynar was still surprised by Cynthia's transformation; he inquired, "What will you do if I don't apologize?"

"That I will charge you for assault. Apologize, and I will forget everything."

"Do your worst; I don't care," Mlynar ranted back. "Really, I can see how animalistic you are, so ungrateful."

"Say anything you want; this will be the end of picking up your calls," he said and hung up. Cellinina chose not to ask about it.

Cynthia's eyes turned red as the phone beeped, "he dared hang up on me?"

"I tell you, he is just a scumbag, you shouldn't have even called him," Ms. Riley said.

"I thought I could forgive him if he confessed and apologize, but he just lost his chance," Cynthia claimed.

"Just tell the police already, they would have arrested him by now" Ms. Riley kept pushing. She really loathed Mlynar a lot.

Cynthia breathed heavily, losing her cool, and she stormed back into the company.

She was trying to maintain her cool, and don't want any problem that will disrupt the dinnner today. The Saluzzo invited all the lothric family to a dinner to select their collaborators.

After some minutes, Mlynar and Cellinina arrived at the hospital. They walked into the ward, where there were doctors who looked lost checking mr. Saluzzo and a young lady who rushed at them.

"Cellinina, we have to do something; father's illness is worsening, and these doctors are absolutely of no help, just going up and down," the young lady said.

"Lapland, father is gonna be okay; I come with a potential doctor," Cellinina said.

Lapland is Cellinina's sister, known for her hot temper and her overprotective behavior. She was a ruthless killer as she was well trained to kill since she was a kid, she was cold and only care about a few people and also lacked common sense as all she knew is killing.

"Ma'am, we tried our best and provided all our best treatment, but he isn't improving," one of the doctors said, feeling ashamed.

"It's okay; you all can go. Mr. Mlynar will attend to him," Cellinina said.

The doctors looked at each other, and one of them uttered, "the chief doctor told us not to leave him until he arrives".

Cellinina shot them a cold gaze and they reluctantly withdrew out.

"Do your work," Cellinina gave Mlynar the go-ahead.

"Wait," Lapland stopped him. "Who is he, and what is he going to do?"

"He is a doctor; Mr. Fredy recommended him. He should be able to treat father," Cellinina said.

"Him? What is his name?" Lapland inquired.

"I'm Mlynar," he simply introduced.

"I haven't heard of the name before, which means you are not a renowned doctor. He even looks too young to be a doctor that will treat grandfather. He will just add more to father's ailments."

"You can't just tell by looking; he can do it."

"He even looks unprofessional, I am sure he is doing this because of money, we can't put father safety in jeopardy in this stranger's hand".

"Lapland ... .Let's have faith in him, "Cellinina said.

"No, I can't believe in him until he proves himself worthy." Cellinina exhaled loudly.

"Will you let me treat him if I prove myself worthy?" Mlynar inquired.

"Mmm. Yeah, prove yourself".

Mlynar walked closer to Lapland, "by just looking at you, I can tell you have an injured leg."

He scanned her up and down, "the calluses in your hand show you are a warrior. The rate at which you're breathing fast indicates that you are not yet in the Qi realm, the cause of which is the injury you suffered from when you were a kid, making the Qi escape right after it is formed."

Lapland got astonished; he knew all this just by looking at her. He even knew her past.

"How could you know all that just by looking?" she questioned, feeling tense and anxious.

"I can tell more if I keep looking at you," he said.

She flattered, saluted him, "sorry for the misunderstanding; you can go on, doc."

He ignored her and walked over to Mr. Saluzzo.

He conducted a thorough examination, touching his arm and feeling his pulse.

Placing his hand on Mr. Saluzzo's forehead, he opened his mouth to perform a proper check of the tongue and then lifted Mr. Saluzzo's eyelid, gaining insights into his condition.

He then lifted him up to sit upright on the bed. The two sisters looked at him, wondering what he was doing. At that moment, doubt overtook Lapland again, questioning whether Mlynar was a real doctor or just a con.

"The chief doctor once said Father is to lie down because of the illness, but you are sitting him up!" Lapland asked.

Mlynar ignored her and struck Mr. Saluzzo's chest with his palm.

"Ugh!" Mr. Saluzzo groaned as he vomited a mouthful of black blood.
