Chapter 7

After Mlynar left the ward, Cellinina met up with him. She wanted to escort him back, so they both entered the car and drove away.

Cellinina sat closely beside Mlynar.

"I am very grateful for what you did. I wish I could repay you," Cellinina said.

Mlynar nodded, "I did nothing, just a little effort. I'm doing that only to get the dragon bloodroot. I heard it can only be found in the Saluzzo family."

Cellinina nodded, "I know. Mr. Finley has told me that also, but I still want to give you the bank card as a mere compensation."

Mlynar nodded No.

"Just a kind gesture, please accept it," Cellinina insisted.

Mlynar insisted, shaking his head, "I don't need it, but can you instead focus on searching for the medicine and other rare medicines?".

Mlynar really needed that to save one of his followers, Mr. Alfred, who only survived the last war that the Nearl family fought with great loss. To revive Mr. Alfred, he disguised himself as a poor and homeless person in search of the rare medicine.

"And also, the medicine could really help in healing your grandfather, so please focus on that," he urged her.

She nodded in agreement.

Just then, the car suddenly stopped as the driver stepped on the brake. They lurched slightly forward.

"What's wrong? Why the abrupt stop?" she asked the driver.

"Please help me, please save my family!" the driver cried out.

"Why? What happened to your family?" Cellinina asked.

"They were abducted by a group of gangs. I don't know them, but they kidnapped my wife and daughter and instructed me to find an opportunity to take you out alone," he said.

Cellinina twitched her head, "you don't know them?"

"Yes, please ma'am, save my family," the driver pleaded.

"This isn't the time. Lapland and the bodyguards are dealing with the chief physician," Cellinina said.

Whoever had told the driver to do this, knew about mr. Saluzzo illness. They knew she wouldn't be with any bodyguard.

"Please help. I heard this doctor here has a skill and is good at martial arts than Lapland. You two can do it," the driver yapped.

Cellinina looked at Mlynar, while Mlynar wondered what she would do.

"Ma'am, we can go there with a pretense that I have abducted you, then deal with the gangster off guard," the driver suggested.

Cellinina nodded, "okay, we will do that. Call the people to meet us here."

The driver did as instructed. "They are on their way," he said.

Just then, Cynthia dived her hand into her bag, then brought out her gun which she instantly shot the driver with, as blood splattered around.

Mlynar flinched a little and stared at her.

Cynthia faced him back, "what do you think about me? I'm too cruel and shouldn't have done that?"

Mlynar answered, "I understand. Without your cruelty, how could you become the gang leader of the Saluzzo family at your age?"

Cellinina smiled at his understanding and muttered to herself, "he understands me?" She came to realize that if she had only been alone, she would have faced dozens of thugs alone.

Mlynar then exited the car and made his way to the driver's seat as he took his dead body down from the car.

"We have to swing into action. They shouldn't meet us here without doing anything," he said and exchanged the driver's clothes, wearing them. He then hid the driver behind the trunk of the car.

There is a rope and a drug, which certainly means the driver would have kidnapped her if she was alone.

Meanwhile, Cynthia called the Saluzzo family's bodyguards.

They sat in the car, awaiting the gangs. Mlynar sat in the driver's seat.

"I'm sure you've faced danger like this alone."

Cellinina nodded, "I am used to it. I'm sure the same person is behind my grandfather's poison and this, and I will investigate it later."

The Saluzzo family always faced a lot of enemies.

They wait anxiously.

Just then, the van of the gangs appeared. "They are here already," Cellinina said
