Chapter 8

The vans of the thugs abruptly stopped in front of them. The van opened, and the thugs descended.

All with armed guns, there were more than thirty. The thugs waited, while the gang leader approached Mlynar and Cellinina slowly.

Cellinina pretended to be drugged, sleeping inside the car, while Mlynar, now the driver, sat comfortably.

The leader headed straight to where Cellinina was, smirking, thinking she was under the influence. He intended to touch her when Cellinina suddenly stood up, pressing the gun against him.

The gang leader was shocked but remained composed. The other gang members wanted to interfere, but the leader stopped them, turning back to face Cellinina. "Wow, I know you'll never be an easy target."

"Who are you, and who sent you? Tell me, and I will spare you," Cellinina demanded.

The gang leader scoffed, "I can't believe you're bargaining in this situation. I don't think you know who's really in power here. If you shoot and kill me, how will you handle my crazy gangster? Consider yourself gone."

"Then what do you want, really?" Cellinina asked.

The gang leader collected the gun from her and unloaded it, giving her the bullets. "You can keep it."

Cellinina remained cool. She didn't know about Mlynar's martial skills but knew he was better than Lapland. Although Lapland couldn't kill more than thirty gun-wielding gangsters with her bare hands, these thugs numbered more than thirty.

The gang leader smirked, "So, this is all you? The Saluzzo's Artemis." Artemis, known for being a fierce warrior, was the goddess of hunt and wilderness, a title given to Cellinina.

The gang leader put on a wicked smile, attempting to touch her. Mlynar stopped him by holding his arm.

The gang leader, thinking Mlynar was the driver, shrugged his hand away, saying, "It'll be better for you not to interfere if you still need your wife and daughter."

He proceeded to touch Cellinina, but this time Mlynar not only held his arm but twisted and broke it.

The gang leader howled in pain, "What are you looking at? Kill him!" The gang members swiftly took action.

They all cocked their guns, ready to shoot. In the blink of an eye, Mlynar, utilising his power, accelerated through the crowd, dislocating each of their joints.

Simultaneously, he approached the gang leader and delivered a hard kick to his knee, causing it to crush, and the gang leader instantly knelt on the ground.

Mlynar smirked as he dropped the magazines he had removed from the gang's guns. This shocked them; he had executed all of this in just the blink of an eye.

"Please, I am sorry. Please don't kill me," the gang leader immediately pleaded.

Cellinina marvelled at what had just happened. How could a person be so proficient in martial arts and have such incredible abilities? And also his medical skills.

She had never seen someone like him. At that moment, she decided to make Mlynar hers.

Cellinina stepped out of the car and approached the gang members who earnestly begged for their lives.

"Please don't kill us... we are just sent," the leader trembled as he begged.

Cellinina nodded, "I will spare your lives if you decide to tell me the mastermind of this." They looked at each other.

Cellinina took hold of one of the guns, "you might as well die if you don't want to tell. Nevertheless, I will find out by myself."

The leader immediately gave in, "it's... the Tony velvet gang."

Cellinina frowned; it's not the name she was expecting. the Tony velvet gang was just a local gang in Lothric; she had hoped they would mention the Tristan family. The Tristan family has always been the greatest enemy of the Saluzzo family in Tremont.

Cellinina hissed, and the bodyguards of the Saluzzo family arrived, astonished to see the other gang defeated.

Lapland approached them, surprised but remembering the power Mlynar possessed; he could even revive someone from death.

"Sister, hope you are okay," she asked Cellinina, who nodded.

"Kill them," Cellinina ordered the Saluzzo bodyguards. "Please, you promised not to kill us if we told you, please spare us," the gang leader begged, tears flowing from his eyes.

But Cellinina didn't even care; she motioned to the bodyguards to go ahead. They opened fire, and their blood splattered around, dropping dead on the ground like fallen trees.

Mlynar looked at the massacre but didn't comment. Instead, he said, "I will be on my way."

Cellinina didn't want to lose Mlynar; she had vowed to make him hers.

"Thanks, but I would like to invite you to today's Saluzzo family banquet; it's going to be a great one," she said to try to keep him around.

He smiled at her and answered, "thanks, but I am afraid I can't go."

Lapland frowned; no one would ever refuse to be present at such a party. But Mlynar just refused?

"Why... I think it will be an opportunity for you; there will be many people with numerous gifts. And most of them usually come with rare medicine. Who knows, you might happen to see the medicine you are looking for," Cellinina said.

"Okay, I will be there," he said and wanted to leave.

"You know, I was just attacked by some gangs, and the others will surely come for me. You have to assure me that I am safe for you to get the medicine smoothly," she said.

Mlynar exhaled loudly in frustration, "okay, I will. But not in the same car with you; you and Lapland can use the car. I will get into the bodyguards' car."

"I wonder why you're acting up," she said and got into the car. She muttered, "so hard to get." Lapland wondered what's wrong with her.

Cellinina actually invited Mlynar to the banquet to enhance his favour, intending to make him fall in love with her.

Lapland understood Cellinina's motives, believing that if Cellinina succeeded, it would be a significant accomplishment for the Saluzzo family.

This success would not only benefit the family but also provide Cellinina with a strong and promising future as she would have a formidable young master.
