At the night banquets, where the light sparkled around the beautifully set event with many expensive items and decorations, more like a paradise.
Cynthia was the first person to arrive at the party, showcasing a sense of punctuality in a stunning blue short gown. The attendees raised their eyes to the beauty that had just entered.
Ms. Riley, the secretary, followed, unable to contain her amazement at the event and decorations.
"The Saluzzo family is something. Their sense of decoration is unique, they are just good at everything," she said, losing herself in admiration.
Cynthia nodded, "They must be filthy rich; all the items used for decoration here are highly expensive."
"It would do us a lot of good if we managed to become one of their collaborators. We would soar higher than this," Ms. Riley suggested.
Cynthia smiled, "We must become their collaborator. I will do everything in my capacity to make this successful."
"Yeah, so for now, it will be good if you don't fill yourself with bad energy, I mean Mlynar."
Cynthia gave the secretary a cold gaze, "You are the one bringing up the apparently bad energy, so can you please not talk about him."
Ms. Riley nodded. Ferdinand approached them.
Ms. Riley was excited to see him, "Wow, you came here."
Ferdinand nodded, "Yeah, I came to support you and will do anything to make Cloud Group the collaborator; you know it will be a big favor."
Mrs. Riley smiled, "Wow, thank you. You always do Madam good."
Meanwhile, Cynthia faced the other side and completely ignored her. Ferdinand became furious, trying everything to make Cynthia trust him, the only way for him to get his way.
Outside the venue, Cellinina and Lapland, in fairy dresses, alighted from the car, drawing everyone's attention as the two Saluzzo princesses.
They waited beside the bodyguard's car for Mlynar. The bodyguards came down from the car taking the other side to avoid people's attention.
When Mlynar decided to come down, one of the bodyguards stopped him. "Please, take the side door," he suggested with a smile.
The side door is where Cellinina and Lapland are waiting, with people snapping pictures. Whispers circulated about who could make Saluzzo's two beauties wait.
Mlynar found it amusing but accepted, getting down from the other side. Cellinina immediately slid her hand on his shoulder and stood close.
Lapland twitched her head as they walked by and entered the banquet hall, and the guest whispers intensified.
"Who could he be?"
"He's certainly from a wealthy family."
"He might be a top mafia leader."
Cynthia and Mrs. Riley were surprised to see Mlynar at the event.
"What... What is he doing here?" Ms. Riley stammered.
Cynthia approached Mlynar to apologize but, upon realizing Cellinina and Lapland, changed it to greetings.
"Hello, Mlynar."
"Nice meeting you here," Mlynar replied. Cynthia noticed the beautiful fairy woman beside him as their eyes met.
"Who... are you, please?" Cynthia asked, maintaining her composure.
"I am Cellinina Saluzzo," Cellinina introduced. Cynthia choked a little but hid it.
Cynthia felt jealous, asking, "How was she to you?"
"Why should you care?" Mlynar coldly answered.
Cellinina, with hostility in her voice, asked, "Who is she, please?"
"My ex-wife. We divorced today," he answered.
Cellinina felt a ting of happiness, "Nice meeting you again," she said, offering a handshake, which they shook.
"You didn't tell me you are friends with her," Cynthia said.
"Why should I tell you, why should you care? It's none of your business," Mlynar replied.
The situation tensed up as everyone fell silent. Lapland chimed in, "That's okay. You don't have to talk casually to him, nor does he owe you a discussion since the two of you have broken up."
Cynthia became unhappy with Lapland's directive words. Mlynar's coldness added to her discomfort.
"I just want to talk to you, straighten something out," Cynthia said.
"What is that? Say it here," Mlynar coldly replied.
"It's something private, meant to be discussed between just you and me. Withdraw any third party," Cynthia insisted.
Mlynar stood his ground, "I am not following anywhere. If you have anything to say, say it here, please."
"Why are you so cold to me? At least hear what I have to say," Cynthia furiously demanded.
"Please, I don't want any misunderstanding. Either we talk here or not at all," he stated.
"Why are you ignoring me this much? You were not like this before. What makes you so changed and cold?"
"Just as I said, I don't want any misunderstanding. We are divorced. Since I am not in your caliber and standard, what could a lowlife like me be doing with someone with a high standard like you?"
Cynthia was furious and in a hell of rage, believing Mlynar's coldness was due to Cellinina. She suddenly became jealous, even though she was the one who initiated the divorce.
"I gave you a chance to apologize for what you did, but you insisted on being in the right even after hitting my brother," Cynthia blamed Mlynar for the incident.
Mlynar scoffed, "I am not apologizing, and there's nothing you can do about it."
"I know you're doing this because of her. We just broke up today, and you're already with someone else. You don't even respect our relationship!"
Mlynar scoffed again, "I can't believe you're talking about respect. What about you? You left me for Chris; the two of you are in a relationship."
"Who told you I'm in a relationship with him? Stop bringing up irrelevant things to justify your actions."
Just then, Ferdinand appeared, approaching them.
"Irrelevant indeed," Mlynar chuckled. He thought Cynthia had been cheating on him with Ferdinand during their marriage.
Cynthia exhaled loudly, choosing not to say anything.
"Cynthia, here you are. I've been looking for you," Ferdinand said, eyeing the two beauties beside Mlynar.
They were elegant, and their beauty made him instantly lost.
However, he was furious to see Cellinina with her arms around Mlynar. He chose to embarrass him, saying, "Isn't this the cleaner in your company?" with a smirk.
"How does that concern you? Did Cynthia tell you this?" Mlynar answered coldly. "Oh, I think that is right. You don't even deny it," Ferdinand said. "Why should I deny it? I don't think I should be bothered by what someone like you says." Ferdinand wanted to ridicule Mlynar. He was so jealous to see him with those two beauties. "Don't be deceived by him. He is an unambitious person who sucks up to rich people." Mlynar glared at him while Ferdinand smiled, thinking he was successful. He faced Cellinina and Lapland. "Beauty, I am so sure that this rag man has deceived you just to take advantage of you and have an opportunity to get to this banquet." "Really? Then I think that is a good thing," Cellinina answered. Cynthia raised her eyebrows at the response. "He won't do anything good for you. He is just bad luck, and I am sure he just wants to con you. You deserve better than this lowlife man," Ferdinand ranted. "You shouldn't—" Lapland tried to shun him and drive him away. But C
Just as Cellinina and mlynar left, entering the set aside hall for honored guests, ms. Riley hissed, “I have never met someone stupid as her ''. Ferdinand chimed in, “she is beautiful, I wonder how she could let someone dirty and lowlife like him be with her”. Ferdinand was so just jealous, and angry as to how those beautiful women embarrassed him. “they are not even in the category with ms. Cynthia” ms. Riley said. Ferdinand tried to flatter Cynthia, "yes, she is not even more beautiful than Cynthia". "Yes, someone could easily see how classical and high Standard you are Ms. Cynthia" Ms. Riley said. Cynthia exhaled loudly in frustration, “please shut up, that;s okay, we should focus on what we are here for… you know that I must be among one of the collaborators, so I would like which of saluzzo’s family is in charge of tonight’s party”. Ferdinand got disappointed at the response, he was finding all ways to make Cynthia trust him so he could have his way. “Ma'am, I could help,
"Ferdinand, goodbye. I'm sorry, I need to go," Cynthia said. Ferdinand looked at her in disbelief as she headed in; Ms. Riley followed.Ferdinand tried his best to make his way in, but all to no avail. He breathed like an angry dragon ready to spew fire at any moment. However, he couldn't dare do anything; he had heard rumors about the cruelty and strength of the Saluzzo family's bodyguards.*****In the hall, the venue shimmered with sparkling chandeliers, casting a soft glow over the beautifully set space. A sea of elegantly dressed guests swirled through the spacious ballroom, creating a harmony of excitement with their laughter and giggles.Mlynar sat gently resting on the chair, calmly observing the audience and the performance of the artists. Meanwhile, Cynthia unconsciously stood beside Mlynar.Ms. Riley saw him and remarked, "Wow, see this rat that sneaked himself in; you even dare to relax."Mlynar chose peace and didn't even look at them. "Don't you hear I am talking to you?
Cynthia was troubled and couldn't even stand in one place after the bad news. This is a big loss for her. Just then, a male staff approached her, “Are you Mrs. Cynthia, the president of the cloud company?” he asked. Cynthia, anticipating being kicked out, answered with a low tone, “Yes, I am.” “Congratulations, you have been chosen as one of the Saluzzo family partners,” he said. Cynthia raised her head in surprise, thinking she had heard it wrong, “I... am chosen?” “Yes, you will soon be called by the First Lady for a one-on-one meeting. Bye,” he said and left. Cynthia looked at Ms. Riley, who also gazed at her in surprise, “I can’t believe this. I thought we were about to be kicked out!” Ms. Riley smiled, “Wow, I think the heavens are helping us.” "Are you sure about what your friend said about kicking us out?" Cynthia asked Ms. Riley for confirmation. "Yes, I am sure, ma’am," she said. Just then, her phone rang, and it was from her friend. She put it on loudspeaker so Cynth
Ferdinand still on his knees, "Please, I am sorry for my foolish act. I didn't know who you were then." Kyle laughed out hysterically, "Good thing you know your place. Since you have done the right thing, I will just leave you." Ferdinand nodded, "Thank you." During their talk, Saluzzo's security were already guiding the entrance. But they were outnumbered by the Tony velvet gang. "You think you can stop us, no way! Breach in!" Kyle yelled. The gang and the security faced each other. The security tried to push them back, but they couldn't. Ferdinand managed to squeeze himself in. He immediately rushed toward Cynthia before the gang could get there. "Cynthia, we have to go now!" He said, holding her hand. Cynthia hesitated without budging. "Cynthia! We have to go now; you know the Tony velvet gang —they are merciless. They can do horrible things. You heard how they mauled people," Ferdinand said, dragging her along. But the gang had already made their way in, and Kyle approac
Kyle got back on his feet again, "All that she said is true. I am going to kill you and this woman here. I will find everyone closer to you and make them have a tragic end. They will all die because of you." Mlynar chuckled, "Do you think I am scared of your threats? I will kill you before you even do that." Cynthia got angrier, surprised at how stubborn Mlynar had become. She didn't want any trouble for him. "Don't you hear, Mlynar? I said it's none of your concern. Just because you're good in martial arts doesn't mean you can put our lives in danger. You will put our lives in danger," Cynthia scolded. Cellinina folded her arms, observing the event. She was enjoying it. Mlynar shot back at Cynthia, "Why do you always think about yourself? I helped you, and you are blaming me?" Ferdinand decided to take advantage, chiming in, "How is this help? You just jeopardized our safety." Mlynar scoffed, "I can't believe someone that was hiding around has the right to talk." People laughe
Mr. Tony's eyes lingered on Cynthia in a leering way, while she stood uncomfortably by the doorstep. "Enter and sit down," Mr. Tony said, gesturing at her. Cynthia bowed and took a seat, while Mr. Tony sat opposite her. "I am here to ask for forgiveness for what happened to your son today," Cynthia started. Mr. Tony scoffed, "asking for forgiveness? We, the Tony velvet gang, never forgive. We go by the saying 'eye for an eye and tooth for tooth.'" Cynthia exhaled, "your son… he started it first, he flirted with me and even molested me." "What are you here for, blame or forgiveness?" Mr. Tony frowned, then picked one of the cigarettes in front of him. The bodyguard with them lit it for him. He inhaled it, puffing the smoke right straight at Cynthia. Cynthia blinked, "I am here to ask for forgiveness and forget about all that happened today." Mr. Tony nodded, "I heard a man broke my son's nose and beat up tens of my gang, which I don't believe. Where is the man?" Cynthia gulped,
The Guards pointed guns at Cynthia and Mlynar; Cynthia hid behind Mlynar. "Who are you to barge in here… Are you the man that broke my son's nose?" Mr. Tony said. Mlynar chose not to say anything; he glared at them. "I think I'm right. I heard you beat up tens of my gangs with only bare hands. Let's see if that's true," Mr. Tony smirked, then brought out and pointed a gun at Cynthia. "If you don't want her dead, surrender and kneel down," Mr. Tony said. Mlynar scanned them, considering knocking them out, but he hesitated, not wanting to put Cynthia's life in danger. He chose to kneel down, looking for an opportunity. Mr. Tony himself dragged Cynthia away from him. "Leave me, get your stinky hand away from me!" she hauled. Mr. Tony, now very angry, hit the buttom of the gun on her, and instantly, she passed out. Mr. Tony smirked and faced Mlynar. "So there you are. I thought you were a god, beating up my armed thugs, but it was all just an exaggeration." Mlynar prepared to ch
