Darius’s point of view

The minute ticked to it last ringing to an hour, she’s been away from me now for the past three hours.

Is she okay? Is everything alright? Is she fine with her parents? I could only assume positive answers to those questions.

I was beyond bothered when I shouldn’t be. I fought the urge of establishing another psychic connection with her so I can communicate with her through it.

That might be an intrusion and a cross to a boundary I don’t even know if existed between us. I tried it once, but that doesn’t count as an intrusion because she didn’t know and thanks to it; I became of knowledge to the trouble she’s held in.

Two guards are with her, men who are well trained and prominently skilled.

They’re excellent warriors that guarantees the safety of my mate, so I really shouldn’t be worried or bothered. I should focus instead on what I have at hand.
