Test I

Days later. Gladitorium

"Urgh!"

Kie grunted, a somersault to his back as he heard his flesh tearing with his tunic - his left arm. At first he thought twas a little scratch, but taking a peek, three deep gores had been dug. He groaned but was quick to tuck in the pain as the roar came from his front again.

He stood up tall and observed the large panther closely. Its speckled skin had smears of blood at uneven intervals. He looked past the snarling leopard to the three other tiger, cougar and lioness. All these cats were tied with small ropes to poles beside each of them. They were made to surround a golden shield which Kie was supposed to retrieve to pass his first test.

'Twas the beginning of the games/test today. The games created by Wealene to test the gods. And Kie was the object of test. The king, Wealene, of all the choices he had, made the first game "Retrieving the honour". Well, Wealene had been quite considerate to cut down the days of the games
