152: Suspicions

Unlike the first time Levi came to the Lloyd's family residence, he didn't seem so astonished at the splendid building anymore.

Now that the chauffeur mentioned it, he realized the building layout design was actually similar to those grand royal buildings.

Pushing the disturbing thoughts away from his head, he focused on Lincoln who appeared at doorstep.

"It's rude to keep your host waiting. Dinner's been ready for some minutes now."

"Glad to see you too," Levi gave him a smile that made him cringe and shudder before turning around to lead the way in. Leo's mother, Marie, was setting up some plates on the table.

"Psst, I thought rich people are supposed to have servants to deal with all these," Levi whispered to Lincoln before his face lit up with a smile.

"We do alright. My mom just likes to do all these herself."

"Hello auntie," Levi greeted Marie warmly. Unlike the first time he had addressed her as mother, this felt more natural.
