The impact sent their car summersaulting into the air. When it finally crashed, the force sent parts of the cars flying all over.

Elijah crawled out of what was left of the car first. He raised his head to see the car that had crashed into them successfully pull away, without any scratch to it. He blinked, and cleaned his eyes with the back of his hands, to be certain he had seen correctly.
