“What'd you mean, nobody? He almost brushed my car, driving the way he did.” She said.

“He's not important. Let's forget him.” Elijah said as his eyes slowly lost the darkness.

Cleo did not believe it was just nothing, but by the look of things, he didn't want to speak about it. She decided it was best to drop it.

“Okay, I'm here now. What's up?”

“Let's go in.” He said, briefly looking towards the road before moving his body forward.

“You think this place is getting too exposed?” She asked as they went round the warehouse to the hidden entrance.

“I know it is. They won't find the lab immediately, even if they look. We can't be too lazy about it, though. I'll think of an alternative soon.”

“Okay.” She nodded as he pressed the buttons, and the door slid open for them to pass through.

They made it into the escalator, going down to the lab.

As it moved down, they both found solace in their thoughts.
