"Is there anything to eat in this house?" Snow ran around, as Elijah tried to catch him.

"No there isn't. Wait," He paused.

"Why am I even talking to a dog?" He shook his head, to clear off the disillusion.

"No wonder those men said it was a pointless adventure attacking you."

"What!" He turned around to see snow staring at him.

"Yeah, those guys." Snow wagged his tail.

Elijah deeply inhaled. This was really happening. He was actually talking to a dog. "What guys?"

"Food first, then I'll tell you."

"No way you're bargaining in my own house." Snow fluffed his hair, and he was a pretty hairy dog. Elijah guessed that was his idea of a shrug. If he wasn't so confused, he may have managed a half smile.

"Fine. I should have something in the fridge. You better hope the guy who copped this place for me, was intuitive enough to bring some food too."

"He did." Snow said, walking behind Elijah.

"And how do you know about that?"

"I saw him."
