Once he was back in the living room, where everyone was waiting for him, Bin sat next to the dining table and maintained a short silence.

Even though no one spoke, it was clear that they were waiting for him to explain what happened during his unexpected disappearance.

The only people who were uninterested were Akane, Bert, and Iris. The latter two were bickering with each other whereas the Japanese secretary was brewing some tea while humming to herself.

The three girls and his mother, on the other hand, were intently looking at the young man, their expressions demanding an answer.

“Bin, thank you for your help.”

Unexpectedly, Melissa, who was absent-minded just a minute ag

“I thought you were not interested in me.”Melissa curiously looked around the shabbily-decorated room then sat on the bed while softly chuckling. It was in the middle of night but, surprisingly, Bin asked her to come with him to his room. Jasmine and Rika were interested in tagging alone, however, Bin rudely told them to go home.“To think such a day would come. I’m really impressed by your boldness.”Instead of replying, Bin pulled the only chair and positioned in front of the girl. He solemnly sat down and cleared his throat before saying, “I don’t think it’s the time for your jokes, Melissa. You are a smart girl and I’m sure that, by now, you have a couple of guesses.”

“Why the long face?”Shin materialized in the room, cackling maniacally and clapped his hands. He spoke with a mocking tone, gleefully watching Bin’s grave expression.“You think brooding will help you? Or are you that sad about your disagreement with the girl? Either way, it’s pathetic. To think you’d go out of your way to tell her! Ha! That’s the dumbest way to go about your plans.”Shin clapped again then marched toward Bin, stopping inches away, his head lowered to meet the latter’s absent-minded gaze.“Perhaps you’re thinking of what the Blood Prince said? Frankly, if it happens, at least you’ll snap out of it. You’ll come to kn

The next day after Bin, Iris, and Bert had their little meeting, the loud and obnoxious doorbell rang continuously, waking up everyone.Bert Polaris was drowsy and red-faced as he stomped on the chair and made his way toward the door, cursing under his breath and prepared to lash out at the person waiting on the other side.It was really early in the morning and no one in their right mind would do this, especially after they all had a long and exhausting day. When he opened the door and was about to shout at the top of his lungs, Bert frowned and glared at the two females eagerly waiting to enter. It was none other than Emilia and Elise, the two quickly greeted Bert before the latter pushed him away and stepped inside. The thin and short man dumbly gazed at the mother-daughter duo,

The family breakfast proceeded rather peacefully and much better than Bin’s pessimistic expectations. At first, only Emilia and Elise were cheerful, chatting together about random stuff which didn’t pick his interest. When the food, which he could not eat, was served, his mother and sister initiated a subject that forced him out of his silence, though not begrudgingly but eagerly.“It’s not easy to attempt to learn the art of Magical Fusion, much less attempt it. It’s exceptionally hard for you, Elise, as your second strongest affinity is Fire, which clashes with the Blood Element.”Bin’s brooding had come to an end, at last. He pricked his ears and waited for the conversation to continue, looking slightly excited.“I have not

It has been a while since the two of them met but there was only silence flowing between the two of them.“A-actually, I’ve come to meet you… to discuss something.”The maid tilted her head in confusion then intently looking back at him, her face failed to showcase her true emotions. She focused especially on his silver arm then slightly bowed again and calmly responded,“I’m busy, mister Bin. Do follow me, the miss is waiti-”Before she could finish, Bin grabbed her wrist and, against her will, dragged h

“Am I supposed to believe that?”Hyue curled her lips as she looked back at him, her voice sounding less angrier than before. She turned her whole body toward him, her hands lowered, resting on top of each other and clenching the maid dress in a subtle manner.“I thought you would want to hear that. You were the first person who encouraged me to lead a normal life so it’s only right to tell you first.”“Is that right?” She harrumphed and squinted at him as if she still did not believe everything he had said, “I doubt you’ll stop everything and live quietly. You will still go after Queen and the Psychic Facility.”“Yes. I will. But, that doesn’t

“Why did you not wait till everything was done?”Bin grunted and shrugged his shoulders, nonchalantly saying,” What if I die?”“Don’t say that. You will not die. And confessing to her once you’re done would be more advantageous. I think she rejected you cause she didn’t want to get a boyfriend who’s constantly in danger of death every day.”“That’s an erroneous and a ludicrously hypocritical theory.”“Erro- what?”“Erroneous.” He rolled his eyes at the dumb look she was giving him, let out a sigh and briefly explained.

At the same time, Bin was strengthening his connection with the white crystal. Slowly but surely, a gentle wave of white light flowed from within his body and started taking the shape of a human-sized portal. Unfortunately, Jasmine was reaching her limits and ended up getting blasted far away. Her body crashed on the ground and rolled a couple of times. Although she hastily got back on her feet and ran back, it wasn’t fast enough to stop the Pests from reaching Bin. With all his concentration focused on the connection, Bin could not defend him
