Fight - 2 (Ambush)

"Little guy , I will deal with that bear so you shouldn't run anymore , stay here quietly like a good kid."

Bai chen put the pangolin in his hand on the lotus leave floating on the water and left . As for that pangolin running away , Bai chen wasn't worried about it escaping , from what he felt during the escape , this pangolin seems to be aware of him saving his life so he didn't struggled much while it was in his grasp.

' It seems like seems like this little ones intelligence is much higher than I expected it to be .' Bai chen thought .

This place a little deeper in the marsh lands , Bai chen left the pangolin here so that it would not get involved in the battle later . The battle would be fought at the edge of the marshlands .

Bai chen took this free time to set up a lot of traps. He mainly used gunpowder for the traps . In this era, there were no explosive tags , so he prepared some gunpowder before entering the forest , if you know some simple science then you can easily make it .

Gunpowder cannot be stored for a long time in the land of water due to the moisture present in the air .

If its an air tight container we are talking about then it can be stored for as long as 30 years , but Bai chen didn't have a portable container on him , so it was only usable for a few days .

It took Bai chen seven minutes to set up all the traps , it was thanks to chip's precise instruction the he was able to finish so quickly . After finishing all his preparations, Bai chen returned to marshland and hid himself in the wild grasses and mist , he covered his body odour so not to attract the bear's attention later .

Waiting task was always boring but Bai chen didn't loose his patience , the surroundings were in an eerie silence , Bai chen can even hear his heartbeat .

'BANG'

The silence was finally broken by a sound explosion , but it didn't stop there , a few more could be heard from the distance . But with each 'bang' the sound was getting louder and closer.

'Rrrrrroooaaaarrr'

In between the explosions , a pained roar could also be heard.

Bai chen , hiding in the wasteland was a bit nervous. It was his first fight since he came to this world , the opponent was stronger than him and it would be a fight to death of course its normal to be nervous .

While Bai chen calming himself down , the explosion in the distance stopped and only one single roar could be heard , but this roar has changed from a pained one to a raged one .

It wasn't in the right condition to think clearly and recklessly entered the marshland and rushed deeper . Bai chen held a kunai in his hand waiting for a perfect chance to ambush .

With chip's ability to lock on the target and display the trajectory of the assault, Bai chen's throwing skills can reach an expert level but he didn't opt to use the chip .

When the bear was about to pass by Bai chen's position , he decided to shoot . He threw the kunai in his hand at the bear which was having difficulty in walking .

'Puchi'

The sound of flesh being pierced was heard . The kunai pierced the bear's right eye. All of this happened too suddenly and the bear didn't had a chance to react .

While it was still howling , Bai chen rushed out from his hiding place , drew his sword from his waist and slashed at the bear's neck . But Bai chen was thinking too much , the sword couldn't even slash through its thick hide .

The bear who was still in pain felt someone attacking himself from its right side and threw its palm in that direction .

Alarms from chip blared in Bai chen's mind , warning him to dodge quickly , but even with these warnings his reaction a bit slow . The edge of the palm hit him in the chest and he was forced to retreat ten meters.

Bai chen almost threw up blood just because of this slight touch . He immediately began using his breathing technique to prevent him from throwing up his blood .

His eyes were staring coldly at the bear and his intent to fight was very clear . The bear was also staring resentfully at Bai chen with its remaining eye . It could not wait to tear down this human standing in front of him .
