Peerless Talent Shocking The Crowd

It's been thousands of years since the death of Sevarna's greatest heroes, and technology is slowly advancing.

A tall muscular man stood before large groups of students in a huge classroom. Behind him was a board riddled with illustrations of various theories on magic circles and evolution instead of Mathematics or English.

"Ever since the first gate opened, and the first Warlord Association was created… Humanity has faced nothing, but absolute chaos." The broad-chested man gazed into the eyes of every student before him, his chest pumped as he roared out, "The ability to unleash a strength ten times the power of a grenade with a single punch, the ability to leap across buildings and float over sea… Power roamed the world, and the thirst for it created the world we live in now.

A world dominated by the fatties and cry-babies, a world where the truly strong are manipulated as weapons of war on the battlefield. A world where armageddon is imminent.

The only way to counter this threat is for all you suckers to man up! You're in a Warlord Academy for the strong, not a playground to get some fun!

Once each of you attains true power and breaks out of this political system, I see our freedom coming. Though I'm not a dreamer, I know that one day when Hell's Gate is destroyed, and those fatties on the throne are kicked off… We the truly strong will rule over this pathetic world."

The students stared at themselves before breaking into a round of applause. Their actions seemed unconscious and robotic, starting and ending at the same time.

Why they were clapping? No one knew, but it had become instinctive after being made to sleep in a chaos shrine for being 'ungrateful' after hearing the speech of their great Grandmaster Lynx Road.

What is a chaos shrine? It's a very 'nice' place where various monsters above the mortal realm roam around to hunt for lunch or breakfast… what is their food? Anyone unlucky enough to get caught.

Lynx nodded his head in approval. Just when he was about to turn around to face the board and continue with his lecture on 'Magic and Evolution', he noticed a student who was busying himself with his pen rather than clapping gratefully for the wonderful knowledge impacted on him by an honourable elder.

The moment Lynx stomped over with a frown on his face, and saw what the boy was busy doing with his pen, he slipped and nearly crashed into the students sitting stiffly beside him.

'The pen isn't moving, but the space around the pen and his fingers are twisting strangely and his fingers seem to be moving through the pen. It was a strange sight, the fingers of a human phasing through a spinning solid body with ease.

'Could it be, The Demon Fingers Of Heaven Blade Technique?!'

Lynx was shocked. Such a skill required years of commitment and diligence to learn. It was extremely difficult to carry out the technique once with a weapon, even if you trained for years yet this kid was performing it with such ease and dexterity with a pen…

It was as if he had been cultivating the technique for centuries! There were only two words to describe him - Super Genius!

While he was busy thinking, the 'boy' he towered above slowly raised his head. He had maintained a cold and expressionless face from the start.

'It's the nineteenth year after my reincarnation into this cursed world…'

Arthur noticed the approach of his tutor since the beginning, but naturally ignored him and continued with his business.

His silver eyes flashed with a strange light as his hands came to a halt, then, the pen which was still a while ago began to spin erratically in his hands, phasing through his fingers just like his fingers phased through it earlier.

The pen seemed to have become a phantom as it continued to phase through Arthur's slender fingers, its speed shocking to the sight of onlookers who were the students looking across their shoulders.

He had been admitted into the academy a few months ago and would be graduating successfully in two to three years.

'The world here is the same as always, even in centuries since our death… rotten and cruel. A stepping stone of the strong… A gravestone for the weak.'

Arthur watched as the pen spun rapidly and memories of the past nineteen years of his new life flashed in his head, making him close his eyes in pain and anger.

The summary was simple:

He was the son of one of the most fearsome hell dragon gods alive, Bezeelbub, a powerhouse not to be trifled with. It is said that he had reached the peak of the Divine Realm and is ready for his ascendance into the Void Realm.

Bezeelbub had 'accidentally' slept with Arthur's human mother years ago in human form, drunk and lustful. As expected, Arthur's mother took in, then, birthed him months later.

It was a hectic childhood that Arthur didn't want to relive. His father abandoned his mother for power after hearing he had the opportunity to become one of the Void Dragons, and she was left to fend for their fragile child.

When Arthur was still a young toddler at the budding talent stage, a gang of bandits attacked the settlement they resided in.

The bandits plundered the houses, including that of Arthur and his mother. If not for the timely intervention of a wandering Warlock, the bandits would have done some inhumane things to the innocent villagers.

After that day, it had been one problem after another. From long skirmishes between the settlement and a gang of Snake Fang Wolves, then Arthur falling into the nest of a Demon Killer Hawk…

Just like in his past life, it was nothing but pain and hardship. His pathetic struggle to the top.

Suddenly the pen in his hand stopped spinning and the air twisted before finally returning to its usual calm. He lifted his eyes and swept his gaze across the classroom.

Various heated gazes from males and females alike were directed at him. Admiration, jealousy, fear, and attraction —that was what the students felt staring at Arthur who had stopped playing with his pen to gaze back at them.

"Arthur Aelsborn Thompson, where did you learn how to do something like that?" Lynx asked with his eyes bulging and brows raised. He still hadn't gotten over the shock of witnessing such an appalling scene.

"Demon Fingers Of Heaven… Blade Technique… Heh, my mother taught it to me in her free time. Of course, Arthur

Arthur replied as he picked up the pen which had stopped spinning, stood up, and gave his teacher a graceful clap before opening his mouth to speak, "Thanks for the lecture, Sir Lynx."

"You-! Little brat!" Lynx spoke out his mind drifting off somewhere else, his face completely pale from shock. With heavy steps, the shocked Lynx returned to the board and began to scribble some words on it.

The students also turned their heads to face the board once more like drones. Although they could be wild and frantic before other teachers, Lynx's classes were always the same boring routine.

Shut up, don't ask stupid questions, and focus!

Arthur shook his head and then smiled softly. His performance just now was way too shocking for the poor old man… he could imagine Lynx praying for wisdom to understand in his heart right now.

That was none of his business. The skill wasn't even some heaven-defying ability or something like that, it was just rare and very difficult to buy.

"Open Player Statistics Module," Arthur muttered as he leaned back in his chair with a laid-back expression on his face. As for the class? He could care less - he had been introduced to that one topic over a dozen times now and was tired of it.

Suddenly, a series of transparent golden screens with grey text in glyphs appeared before Arthur's eyes. The screens were like that of a video game, just a bit dull and basic.

Arthur sighed as he read through the mission requirements and thought back to a month ago when he tried to defeat the creature himself.

Iron Hooves was the boss of a C-ranked dungeon which was way out of his league at this time. He had tried soloing it but wasn't even able to reach the boss.

Arthur knew he had to build up a team of reliable and powerful people. One that includes a mage who knows basic attack magic, and a thief who can open locked chests.

He already had four people in mind, and all of them met his requirements. A white mage - Lilith, a thief - Aaron, a warrior - Drake, and an archer - Felicia.

Knowing the people to recruit was one thing, and recruiting them was another.
