Chapter Twenty Four

He handed some tablets to me and I swallowed all of them. I slept off. I woke up and luckily for me it was few minutes past nine. I went back to the Parks mansion and Laura was still not at home and the kids were seated with their eyes glued to the television.

I walked up to my room thinking of how I'd break the news to my mother in law that I won't be around. It was then I received a call from Diana.

"Hi. What's up?" I spoke casually.

"I'm fine sir. How is your health now sir?" She asked.

"I'm okay,thanks." She said and I smiled.

"Sir can you snap your international passport and send to me?" She asked and I cleared my throat.

"I'll send it to you but I'm not sure if I'll be able to come." I declared and it was silent for a while before she finally spoke.

"Why sir? Is anything wrong? Hope it's not your health issue?" She asked.

"The doctor asked me to rest." I lied.

"I could go represent you if you want sir." She said and I was relieved. I sighed and my worries were over.
