Chapter 96 – Enjoying the last peaceful days

When Tharn and Istar arrived at the front gates of Ulsleve, Mariam and the others were already there, with two open wagons full of the Swamp Nightmare's meat.

Next to them were Istar's flying lions, with a lot of people at a few metres distance and more arriving from the City to see them.

Istar was about to make the lions disappear when she noticed a group of children near them, caressing the feathered wings.

She went to her lions with a smile, and after talking with them, the lions took off, each of them carrying two excited kids.

A lot of people came running, asking to fly as well, and without hesitating, she summoned four more lions and explained to the Gate Guards what the crowd had to do to fly with them.

She joined the others near the waggons and watched as eight lines were forming with people that wanted to fly.
