The date...sort of (3)

Cassidy drove the car into town and made her way through the streets towards one of her favourite eateries downtown.

She had obviously asked Kelvin's permission before she did so, but he informed her that he didn't mind if she wanted to go to the moon and she smiled.

Cassidy drove the car into the parking lot of a place called "Leo's meals". She put on the parking brake and stepped out the vehicle.

As expected, everyone who was at the parking lot had their attention on the Lamborghini Gallardo that just drove in. They were even more impressed when they saw that a female was the one driving this amazing car. What they didn't expect however, was for one of the most powerful men in the world to step out of the passenger seat!

The moment Kelvin stepped out of the car, he was immediately over run by people who wanted to take pictures with him. Kelvin just smiled and obliged, but the number of selfie requests were becoming way too much.

He glanced to his side and saw Cassidy just standing there, he could tell from her facial expression that she was beginning to feel detached. Kelvin quickly made his way out of the crowd, grabbed Cassidy and went into the building.

The crowd tried to follow him inside but three hefty men dressed in security uniforms stepped out and blocked them from entering.

Cassidy was a bit flustered when Kelvin had grabbed her but she quickly regained her cool.

"I guess I should've expected that.", Cassidy said with a sigh.

She felt bad that Kelvin had to go through that because she brought him to this place. She was sure that if they had went to the places he had already planned out for them then this would have never happened.

"Yeah. I get that a lot, It's quite normal to me now.", Kelvin replied and they both sat down at a free table.

"Where did those security men come from anyway?", Cassidy asked, "I'm pretty sure they were not there when we got here."

Cassidy was a bit confused by their sudden appearance, and she was even more confused by the fact that this place was empty. The number of people who came here daily was not a small amount so the fact that there was no one here meant that something had to have happened. She could only guess that this was Kelvin's doing.

"I had my security get here ahead of us and make sure that this place was... safe.", Kelvin said before calling for the waiter.

"Oh. I see.", It seemed like her guess was right after all. She still couldn't believe that Kelvin got this place cleared up in the space of ten minutes, which was the length of time between when she had informed him that they were coming here and when they actually got here. This was proof that he was truly a guy who could get things done.

"So what do you want?", Kelvin asked when the waiter made his way to their table.

"Just get me the usual.", Cassidy smiled and the waiter nodded in affirmation before jotting her order down. She was a regular customer here and every body who worked here knew what she liked to order everytime.

"Do you have Korean barbecue?", Kelvin asked.

"Yes sir.", The waiter answered. Kelvin could tell from his body language that he was quite excited and there really was no reason to ask why.

Kelvin then decided to allow the waiter take a picture with him. The waiter excitedly passed his phone to Cassidy who then took a picture of both of them. Kelvin then informed the waiter that he would be taking the Korean barbecue and he jotted down his order before leaving.

"You're a nice person.", Cassidy said. She knew that the little act of Kelvin taking a picture with the waiter had actually made his day.

"I try.", Kelvin smiled.

While they waited for their order, Cassidy noticed Kelvin looking around. His gaze seemed to be scrutinizing the eatery.

"I know this place isn't like those 5 star restaurants you eat at regularly, but I brought you here because they make one of the best meals in Boston.", Cassidy said.

"I come from very humble beginnings Cassidy, even if you took me to a dump, I won't complain... at least not too much.", Kelvin replied and they both laughed.

Cassidy then heard a ding from her phone. She picked it up to see that she had a message from Nicole. She was telling her to check her social media.

A bit confused and curious, Cassidy opened her twitter and saw that Kelvin, Leo's meals, and unknown girl was trending. It only took her a few scrolls to understand what was going on.

Kelvin noticed her surprised facial expression as she was scrolling through her phone and immediately knew the reason why.

"It seems I forgot to mention that you were going to trend on social media after what happened outside.", Kelvin said.

"I don't know, I feel like trend is an understatement at this point."

It had only been about 5 minutes since they entered this restaurant and there were already over a hundred thousand tweets on the topic!

Even popular media platforms were even carrying the news. One of the post's caption read, "The world's current most elegible bachelor steps out for the first time in five years with an unknown lady in Boston. Is this what we think it is?"

Cassidy couldn't help but feel a bit conflicted about this. She didn't even know what to feel right now.

"Don't worry, it would blow over in a week or so.", Kelvin said after noticing that Cassidy seemed confused.

"I'm not worried. In fact, I love this.", Cassidy replied and caught Kelvin off guard.

"You love it?", Kelvin asked with a raised brow.

"Yeah. I've been looking for a way to increase my followers anyway.", Cassidy joked and they both laughed.

Their orders came in a few minutes later and they ate while they chatted about other things. Kelvin could not help but complement the Korean barbecue. While it wasn't the best he had eaten, it wasn't bad.

Cassidy on the other hand began to realize how free she felt around Kelvin. It was hard to even believe that earlier today she had been so worried about saying something stupid but now they just talked and laughed like they had known each other for years.

When they were about to leave, Cassidy requested that she paid since she ordered more than Kelvin and she wouldn't feel comfortable if she let him settle the bill. Kelvin didn't even bother arguing and just let her pay.

While they were still other places that Cassidy wanted to take Kelvin to, she decided against it since she didn't want the same thing that happened here to happen again so she suggested to Kelvin that they just drive around town and talk, and he had no objections.

They stepped out of the eatery but the crowd was still outside and now had paparazzi mixed in with them as well. Kelvin held Cassidy's hand as the security men kept the crowd away and led them to the car.

Cassidy's checks got red as she felt the warmth and softness of Kelvin's palm make contact with hers. She was already getting used to the feeling when Kelvin let go of her hand. She was disappointed at first but she then realized that they had already reached the car.

She quickly got into the driver's seat and drove them both out of the place. Kelvin noticed that she was beginning to speed up and quickly reminded her that they were no longer on the highway and she slowed down.

"So... what do we talk about?", Cassidy asked.

"Anything would be cool.", Kelvin said as he watched the moving scenery.

"You seem absent minded.", Cassidy stated as she noticed that he kept his gaze outside the window.

"Nope. I'm still here with you.", Kelvin responded.

"Ok...", Cassidy was still a bit skeptical but she decided to take Kelvin's word for it.

The ride got silent after those words. Cassidy became lost in the smoothness of the drive. By the time she had returned her attention to Kelvin, she noticed that he had fallen asleep.

'He must have been tired. I guess being a billionaire isn't as fun as I thought it would be.', Cassidy internalized.

She couldn't help but noticed that Kelvin looked so peaceful when he was sleeping. He was like an angel. It seemed like those rumors she heard about a lot of horrible things being associated with him was nothing more than rumors. There was no way someone this graceful could hurt a fly.

....

It wasn't until 9pm that the Lamborghini Gallardo stopped in front of Cassidy's house. Cassidy stepped out of the driver's seat and Kelvin came out too and escorted her to her door.

"Once again, I want to apologize for falling asleep. I've had a rough couple of days.", Kelvin said.

"You've apologized so many times already. It's fine. We still got to have fun in the end.", Cassidy replied with a smile.

"And I'm glad we did.", Kelvin smiled back.

"Oh, I almost forgot.", Kelvin reached into his pocket and pulled out a watch that he then handed to Cassidy.

"Is this a Rolex?", Cassidy asked.

"Custom made. I had your name engraved on it and it has some cool features that I would rather you found out yourself.", Kelvin said.

"While I am grateful for this, I still need to know why you got it for me."

"It's just a friendly gift."

"Oh. Thanks a lot, I'm sorry I didn't get you anything."

"You can get me something next time.", Kelvin smiled. "Assuming there is a next time."

"We'll see.", Cassidy smiled back. She then leaned in closer and kissed Kelvin on his cheek before walking into her house and shutting the door.

Kelvin remained at the door for a few more seconds before walking back to the car. Once he got into the driver's seat, his smile faded and his expression turned ice cold. He then reached for his phone and dialed Gary's number.

"Yeah?", Gary answered when he picked up the phone.

"Where are you?", Kelvin asked.

"At a hotel not too far from the airport."

"Good. I'm on my way, prepare to get going once I get there.".

"Alright. I'll notify the pilot.", Gary said before ending the call.

Kelvin turned on the car and revved the engine before zooming off. He then dialed another number.

"Jerry.", Kelvin said.

"Boss.", Jerry's voice sounded from the phone.

"Get the package ready and notify the others. I'm on my way to London now."
