Finding The Sword Techniques

After coming up with the idea to make the potion of his dreams, Anderlecht didn't delay any longer. He was busy preparing, concocting, recording, and analyzing everything, so that one hour passed quickly.

Lein, who was sitting not far from him, was starting to feel bored. In the game Malivic World, he didn't even need more than 5 minutes to make a potion. With the help of the system, everything becomes easy because you just mix the ingredients and the system will help you by telling you the uses and side effects, as well as the best handling of it. However, the real world is always painful! Making potions without the help of the system really requires high concentration and perfect dosing.

"Huft! What should I do to get rid of this boredom?"

Lein started surveying his surroundings; looking for things he might be able to do. And, inadvertently, his eyes focused on the old books that were arranged crookedly on the wooden planks; on the left side wall.

"Maybe I can find a fantasy novel there." Lein got up, picked up one of the books at random, then returned to his seat.

"What is the Asfort Family hiding? Hmm, interesting title." In the game Malivic World, Lein doesn't even know the family in question.

Lein began to turn to the first page. Like most books, they will always explain the basics. "Ahh, should I skip the part about the history of the Asfort Family? This feels trivial and boring." Even sections like the entire lineage of the family were written there. The book is more like a history book than a fantasy novel.

Because of that, Lein started flipping through each page randomly, then stopped at page 246. On the sheet, there was a large title at the very top; Asfort Family Sword Technique - Dancing Blade Moon.

Feeling that he found something interesting, Lein started to read it. There it was explained about how the technique from Dancing Blade Moon could split everything. Everything depended on the rhythm of the user's feet when swinging the sword. Obviously, this is a very difficult technique! Just understanding the theory might take him a few months.

Lein read and spent ten pages on that one technique. And, when he came to the end of a word, a notification appeared from the hologram.

This is different from the game Malivic World. To get a certain skill, you have to find a certain quest, complete it, then automatically a skill becomes one of the prizes. That's why the higher the technique, the more difficult the requested quest. However, only by reading and understanding a bit of the mechanics of one skill can you learn it?

"I-isn't this a cheat?"

What if Lein found a thousand different books containing countless secret skills? Can he learn all of the contents of the book easily? Just imagining it made Lein happy. It's worth trying!

Even though it was boring, Lein re-read the entire book so that he received four other notifications from the hologram.

TING! [Butterfly Dance Blade, learned!]

TING! [Blade of Destruction, learned!]

TING! [Fillen Asfort's Secret Sword Art, learned!]

"Since doing quests can gain skills and experience, I never knew there was a limit to learning skills. However, this is enough! Too much can make me puke."

On earth, Lein could only see his character swinging a sword from the computer screen. Imagining him becoming the character himself, how does it feel?

Lein got up from the chair, put the book back where it belonged, then lightly patted Anderlecht on the back while saying, "Do we have sword, Dad?"

"A sword? Of course we have one. Just look under your pants," Anderlecht said with a laugh, before returning to his work.

Serious?! You make that kind of joke on a kid?

"Dad, that's not what I meant, but a real sword!"

"My son, just reading a few books makes you want to imitate what's written there? You've become an active child now! Speaking of real swords, we don't have any. However, you can find wooden swords made by your grandfather in the back storeroom. Actually it suits you much better than a real sword.”

Lein immediately moved towards the door without replying. However, forgetting something, Lein came back into the room and said, "When your potions are ready, don't forget to tell me, Dad. You can find me around the yard."

Anderlecht replied, "All right." Without taking his eyes off the jug.

About 10 meters from the black door, there is a dark room that is only covered by a gray curtain. Lein then opened it, began to rummage through the pile of things consisting of used chairs, jugs with holes, documents, until finally he found an open chest with wooden swords scattered about.

Lein started sorting, trying all of it; swung it around in a few motions, before finally picking one up after finding a match out of it.

Moving around the courtyard, Lein raised his wooden sword; at the same time focused his gaze towards the hologram, and started thinking about one of the sword technique options that were there.

"Dancing Blade Moon."

A moment later, Lein's vision appeared many dots that had thread lines connecting with each other. It formed a pattern, which seemed to force Lein to follow the joints of each of the dots.

Lein swung his sword; follow the direction of each line. One, two, three, four, Lein did it perfectly. However, the fifth move seemed difficult. He had to turn while his sword remained in a vertical line.

"Ah, why does this sword technique feel so beautiful? No wonder there's a moon in the name."

However, before Lein could complete the fifth move, a child's voice from the west made him falter and fall.

"Look at the Andes! After falling from the hill, he really went crazy."

Lein's face immediately boiled and immediately turned towards the source of the sound. "Which brat is interrupting my practice, Bastard?!"

At the same time, a notification appeared from the hologram. TING! [EXP added to Dancing Blade Moon +8]
