2024-10-29 19:42:56Mark was happy and sneered, feeling safe that his bodyguards had come. He looked at Nicola with an evil grin, feeling on top of the world because he now had people to defend him.
"What's going to happen to you now? Do you think you can escape this now?"
Nicola sneered as well, he wasn't scared of all the men in front of him. He was confident in his martial arts skills, what his master had taught him. This is nothing.
He would knock down all these men without having to worry. The only reason he has been restraining himself is because of his mother but now he has no reason to.
"I should be saying that to you. No one will escape this now that you've made me this mad." Nicola replied to Mark with confidence.
"You're still trying to be stubborn? You were given a chance, yet you blew it. You are ingrained!" Lisa spat at Nicola, seeing how relentless he is.
"Don't talk to my son that way! You started this!" Nina butt in, unable to take the insults directed at Nicola because of him.
Mark glared at Nina, annoyed that she could even speak after all he did to her. It seems they still aren't scared and they need to be taught a lesson.
"You old witch! I see you haven't gotten enough of me. Guess what? I am going to send you and your idiot son to your early graves today!" Mark threatened.
But Nicola was not moved at all. Nina on the other hand tried to tug him for a way to escape.
"What are you doing? Catch them now!" Mark ordered his bodyguards.
At this same time, the door barged open and another group of men came in. They were dressed in suits like the first ones but looked bigger and more built than Mark's bodyguards.
Nicola did not understand what was happening at this point. Did Mark bring all these men just to fight with him? They look stronger and higher than Mark's bodyguards.
However, judging from the look on Mark's face, he seems not to know who they are. Nicola suddenly got an idea. Could it be what he heard earlier from that old butler?
"What the hell is going on here? Who are you guys to just barge in my house like that?" Lisa yelled at them, low-key scared that those men would come for them.
Mark, who also does not understand the situation, decided to speak out.
"What's going on? What do you want?" Mark asked them calmly, trying not to show his fear.
The leader stepped forward, "We are here for this man." He pointed at Nicola and all eyes went to him.
"What happened? Did he do something wrong?" Mark questioned, already expecting to hear something bad.
"Our employer wants to see him now, that's why he must come with us." The leader replied with no emotion on his face.
This made Mark and Lisa look at each other. Mark walked closer to Nicola with a smirk. He thought Nicola had gotten into some other trouble which made him happy.
"Are you sure you haven't done anything? I see a lot of people want you dead. Good luck." Mark whispered to Nicola, mocking him obviously.
Mark turned to the other men, "You can go with him. I was done with him anyways."
Nicola on the other hand felt this was not the case. He feels like someone sent those men to help him. He went out with Nina, but not without looking back at Lisa and Mark.
They both smirked at Nicola, happy that he was going to get in trouble with the people he was going with. Nicola sighed and moved on.
"Thanks a lot for coming. Butler James sent you, didn't he?" Nicola thanked them happily because he thought Butler James sent them.
The leader of the men looked very serious and did not smile at him at all.
"My boss wants to see you." That was all the leader said to him.
Nicola then understood it wasn't the Butler who sent them. He is however wondering who it was and why the person helped him.
"I get that Butler James didn't send you, but look at my mother. She is all injured, she needs to go to a hospital." He tried to explain to them.
Nina shook her head, worried that Nicola could indeed be in trouble.
"No, you don't have to send me to a hospital. I don't know what's happening but let me come with you."
Nicola was quick to decline Nina's offer. "Don't worry mom. They are good friends of mine. I know them, their boss is my friend, don't you have to worry about anything."
"But..."
Nicola smiled, assuring her. "I told you it's fine. You have nothing to worry about. You should get treated first."
He turned to the leader, "Please send her to the hospital."
The leader accepted and asked one of his men to take Nina to the hospital while he took Nicola with him. Nicola followed him to a corner which he doesn't understand why.
There was a luxury supercar waiting there. Nicola walked towards the car with the leader. He stared at the car and it's different from the one he saw earlier.
He started to wonder if everyone wants to play a prank on him today. The car that came earlier and said something he never imagined before is different.
Now another one is asking to see him? Could it be that they are all trying to just mess with him?
He carefully watched the driver rush out to open the door. Then a very beautiful girl with a cold face walked out of the car.
"Who's this?" He thought inwardly.
She stopped right in front of him, taking off her obviously designer sunglasses. Everything about her screams wealth so he wondered what family she came from and what she wants from him?
"You're Nicola Redgrave, aren't you?" She asked, sounding so cold.
He patiently nodded, "Yes, what can I do for you?"
She scoffed, looking him up and down. "I am here to cancel the marriage contract between you and I."
Nicola frowned, unable to understand the nonsense she just spilled out.
"What contract?"
