Highschool Life

As Mo Shen entered the classroom, most of his classmates had already taken their seats. He made his way to his designated seat located in the fourth row, settling in for the day's lessons.

He was gone for almost a week when he was hospitalized, so most of his classmates look at him curiously. None of them came and asked him about his condition because they thought that he wanted to be left alone.

"Am I not sociable?" Mo Shen realized his classmates were distant and began to reflect on his behavior. He concluded that perhaps it wouldn't hurt to be a bit more sociable from time to time. As he pondered, he understood that his lack of socializing was causing them to keep their distance.

'Yeah, I remember that I'm bad at talking before' Mo Shen remembered that he used to struggle with communication, and as he shook his head, he acknowledged his past struggles with socializing.

"It's lucky that Mia was there to take care of me," Mo Shen thought to himself.

He looked up at the blackboard and saw his other classmates waiting for the teacher. The English teacher adjusted his silver-rimmed glasses and slowly flipped open the teaching materials while he occasionally scanned over the students, who instinctively behaved and remained in their seats.

Today, however, his mind is filled with thoughts.  He was given a chance to start anew; he did not dwindle around when he was absent and had already started cultivating his soul so he could be more prepared for the future. Luckily, his system was still there to assist him.

The "Simulation System" was a highly effective cheat, but it came with its own set of limitations. It could only simulate accurately if the user had an in-depth knowledge of what was being simulated. But it was enough to propel him to the top despite starting at a very late age.

Now, with more time to spare and sufficient knowledge to feed the system, he has become a truly terrifying force. So if you think someone with a system is scary, that's nothing compared to Mo Shen who was sent back in time with his system.

The school bell rang, and he was snapped out of his daze. Mo Shen pushed the thought to the back of his mind. He took out the textbook from his bag and memorized the entire page instantly.

"It's an excellent thing I still have my amazing memory. And it seems my soul is also sufficiently powerful." Mo Shen's instant memorization ability could not be achieved by only having a good brain. His soul needed to be powerful enough to perform such an extraordinary feat.

Each lesson came and went, and the last class of the morning was about to end. Of course, Mo Shen had already memorized all his subjects before the bell rang.

"Mo Shen, what were you doing?" Mia tapped on his table.

"What do you mean?" He glanced up calmly.

"You've been flipping your books like a maniac throughout the entire class. The teachers were going to scold you, but they didn't because of what happened to you last week. Remember, our Last exam is next week already." Mia raises her voice a little. She wanted Mo Shen to take her advice more seriously.

"Don't worry, I can handle the exam." He smiled at her. Seemingly not interested.

"Are you sure? I can help you review the lessons you missed last week."

"Don't worry about me. I can easily pass the exam." Mo Shen put his hand under his chin and look out the window. His face was calm and confident.

"Hmmph, acting cool again." Mia pouted her cheek and turned around.

However, a gentle smile formed on her face when no one was looking.

Soon, the sound of the bell rang in the air, and the class was over. Students began to rise from their seats, the scraping of chairs and rustling of book bags filling the room.

"Peace is beautiful, but sadly, nothing lasts forever." He slowly rose from his seat, his eyes fixed on the beautiful scene outside. With a shake of his head, he turned to leave the room, his thoughts consumed by the knowledge that nothing lasts forever.

Mo Shen savored each bite of the meal before him, relishing the flavors and aromas that filled his senses. The food in the canteen was truly delicious, a stark contrast to the bland, unappetizing rations that had become a staple in his diet during the final moments of his life.

He ate quietly in a sea of empty rows with metal tables and chairs. Three pieces of bacon with eggs and one serving of rice were all he had for lunch. It was simple yet satisfyingly plain.

He sat on his chair, lost in thought as he considered his options. The future held so many unknowns, and the uncertainty was overwhelming at times. But amidst the chaos, he knew one thing for certain - his system could be utilized more freely now that was sent back in time.

He began silently contemplating the information he had about the future and how to better utilized them.

Mo Shen realized that before he could reveal himself to the world, he needed to increase his power. He had a plan to establish his own organization, but to do so, he needed to become stronger and operate from the shadows.

In order to achieve this, he plan to search for talented humans and imparted to them the skills they would need to survive the impending apocalypse. His ultimate goal was to turn them into hero-level cultivators, capable of standing up to the challenges that lay ahead.

With a heavy sigh, Mo Shen shook his head, frustration evident on his face. He needed to find a way to earn more money to advance his cultivation, but couldn't act impulsively with his powers. The world is full of hidden forces and if he was discovered too soon, it could lead to trouble. This was a delicate balancing act and he had to proceed with caution.

Right now, he can already cast a myriad number of spells. These spells are also more potent than their counterparts because they've already been optimized by the system.

"The food is getting cold; I might as well finish my meal first." Mo Shen chuckled when he realized that he still had some food on the table. He was so immersed in his thinking that he forgot that he was still eating.

"This is delicious." Mo Shen scooped up a spoonful of rice and stuffed it in his mouth. His gaze moved as the students in the cafeteria came and went, but things were mostly boring.

"Mo Shen, why didn't you wait for me?" Mia forcefully drops her tray on the table. The sound of the tray hitting the table caused the other students to look in their direction.

"I was starving," Mo Shen said, rubbing the back of his head. He felt a sense of comfort knowing that Mia was still just as bossy as ever. Nothing had changed.

"Hmph," Mia pouted, her cheeks puffing out, before starting to eat her lunch.

"Mo Shen, you idiot," Mia muttered under her breath, her words barely audible to normal humans but clearly heard by Mo Shen.

A smile formed on his face.

Mia looked up, noticing Mo Shen's smile. "Why are you smiling?" she asked.

"Nothing, I just find you adorable."

"What!!!" His comment caught Misa off guard. Since when did he become such a sweet talker?

Mia felt her cheeks grow warm, so she quickly looked down, avoiding Mo Shen's gaze.

"Idiot, if Shin finds out about this, he will get mad." Mia tried to voice her concern. But her head was still bowed down. She couldn't bear to look at him directly.

"Is there something wrong with what I said? I mean, most people would find you adorable. If I said otherwise, then I would look like a liar."

Mia found herself at a loss for words, feeling both embarrassed and pleased by Mo Shen's seemingly endless stream of flirtatious remarks.

"I have to go now. I have to check something. Eat your lunch so you can grow some muscles. You look so weak." Mo Shen notices Mia's dilemma, so he decided to leave.

As Mo Shen walked away, Mia couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. On one hand, his flirting made her feel lighthearted and happy. On the other hand, she was afraid of what would happen if she let her feelings get out of control.

She knew she had to keep a tight grip on her emotions or else there could be consequences. With these thoughts running through her mind, Mia gazed at Mo Shen's back as he walked away.
