The empty silhouette, void of any detail or personification, rose from the body that it previously inhabited. It didn't have anything like eyes or a face, and because of that, it was impossible to tell its state of mind. However, Dream, who was the soul and silhouette, was definitely having a hard time recovering from the change. His mind had been turned upside down, and the reality he knew was shattered. The way he saw everything was different, and this was all caused by simply understanding a few lines of script. But before long, the silhouette straightened itself. Within Dream's mind, the collapsed mind space was quickly reforming. It was growing to be far larger and sturdier than it had been before.Soon, it healed completely, and Dream became fully lucid again. The disorientation faded, and when his thoughts started spinning, he realized what was going on."My... body. Why is it on the floor?"The silhouette turned and looked at the lifeless body on the ground. Then, it looked at
"Hey Keeper! How does flux carry different forms of energy as a single material? Is it a property thing?""Keeper! How exactly does the gray mist neutralize the properties of different energies? Does it simply remove their attributes? And speaking of, how can mana attain attributes from matter in the first place? Is it through flux?""Keeper! What is influence anyway? It can impart properties onto various energies like mana and flux and whatnot, but it has to get its energy from somewhere right?""Keeper, my guy! Do you never rest? Have you been standing like that for all the time that nobody was here? I mean, you should try getting yourself a hobby. Maybe carpentry?"Across an indeterminable amount of time, Dream continued to go through all the monoliths. As he did, he gained huge amounts of knowledge and invaluable techniques. The monoliths taught him about all the energies that he knew about and their special characteristics. However, as he went through the lines of script, he woul
After being reprimanded, Dream got rid of the sombrero galaxy hat. Sort of.{...You only shrunk it.}"Hey, I'm compromising!"Dream shouted as he was found out. However, making the galaxy inconspicuous was as far as he would go. He needed to at least have it there symbolically. For the pun.Besides, it wasn't like it went against the look. After examining him, the Keeper just sighed internally.{Very well. Now, only when you are finished will I judge you. However, you must personally declare that you are done. I will ask you now. Are you finished with your image?}The Keeper spoke seriously. Dream had understood the trial, attained the knowledge of the monoliths, and then formed an image. The trial was essentially complete. But the Keeper could only end it once the trial taker was judged, and to judge them required confirmation.Dream looked at the Keeper and then thought for a second."What will happen once I say that I'm finished?"{You will be judged. If you pass, you will return t
"I was able to come here for my 4th class advancement. But that silver and black script seems really far off, at least according to your words. Will I be coming back here for my next advancement? And if I do, will I be required to comprehend that silver script?"Dream spoke his concerns over the future. He really did desire the information contained within the silver script, but if it really was capable of driving him insane, then he didn't know when he would be ready to read it. Would going to the end of the 4th class really be enough?'Besides, my level is probably going to skyrocket once I go back. There may not be that huge of a gap between then and 5th class. Will that be enough to prepare me?'He frowned as he thought. After a few seconds, the Keeper spoke.{The way the universe works now is different from the time of the Archons, but it is not totally changed. Your 'classes' go according to a certain system of evolution that was dominant during the time of the Archons. However,
With the classification of his species, the experience that was flowing into him dwindled, and no more notifications appeared in his vision."..."Dream was silent as he went over the changes to his body once more. The girls stared at him as he relaxed on the couch."...Is that it?"Iris eventually spoke up, curious. On the outside, they hadn't noticed much happen. This was because Dream had full control over the power flowing into him. Nothing really leaked out, and the only reason they knew something happened was because the mana in the surroundings surged to him momentarily. Other than that, everything was normal."That's it. I've officially completed my class advancement."Dream smiled and stood up from the couch. Iris frowned though."It didn't seem like much happened. Was that prophet class a bad one? Oh! What level are you?"Iris suddenly remembered the cause for her excitement and asked."I'm level 388 now.""Wow. That's high. We're only level 376, and that was with the consta
The first thing Dream targeted for reconstruction were his assembly lines that filled many square miles of space. These things took up nearly all of the space in his giant cube factory, so there was naturally a lot. With his new power though, this much was inconsequential. The way his machines and assembly lines were designed was actually rather simplistic. The robot bodies were made entirely by mechanical devices, and then they were stamped with enchantments. For the mechanical side, he really didn't have to change much. Other than some optimizations in the designs, they were as good as they were gonna get.For the enchantment side though, that's where things needed to be revamped the most. With his new magical prowess, Dream was obviously able to construct enchantments that were much better than before. So after building up enchantments with Sophia in his mind, they got to work on swapping them out.The first thing they upgraded were the material enhancement devices. With Dream's ne
"Alright! Machines done."Letting out a breath of dense mana, Dream relaxed and overlooked the new addition to the factory. In front of him were thousands of machines. Some produced synthetic diamonds from carbon utilizing ultra high pressures, some produced liquid helium for cooling using sterling engines that cooled the gases, and then those two machines sent their products toward the metallic hydrogen machines that produced tiny little chips of the stuff for use in fusion reactors. While no single machine could make a lot, multiply it hundreds of times over and those supply problems would be solved. Even now, Dream could see dozens of little metallic hydrogen chips being pumped out."Now, we've got our fuel. We just need the reactor."[I've got a good design.]"Then let's make it."Not wasting time, Dream got the schematic from Sophia and pulled some metals over.[This reactor is only about 10 inches in diameter. It'll go on your back, and its shell will be constructed out of the p
*Slap* *Slap*"Ugh... Huh?"Dream awoke from his nap as his cheek was tapped. When he opened his eyes, he could see Luna sitting next to him, looking down at him."Oh good. So my skills do work fine with you.""Huh?""Hehe, I saw your energy levels dip and came to check you out."Luna giggled as Dream sat up. Right now he was back in his human form dressed in sweats and a comfy jacket he liked the texture of. He stretched his neck as he felt his soul."You healed me?""Mhmm. I wasn't sure how good it would work since I haven't tested it with your new body and all, but it seems to work just fine. By the way, what happened to the vessel inside you that contained our energies?"Luna asked as she probed around his soul. Usually she could feel her contract and where the energy went, but now she couldn't, as if it just dispersed into his body."Oh, I got rid of that.""Got rid of it?""Since my control of energy has extended to every energy I know of, there wasn't a need for a complicated s
