Chapter 16 Scared to Accept It
Once they finished the meal, the waiter brought over the bill and gave it to Ysabella. Respectfully, he said, "This is your bill. We can give you a 20% discount if you have a membership."

Outside the door, Felicia and Ashley looked excited as they waited for the drama.

Ysabella took the bill and was stunned momentarily before she spoke up in surprise, "This is impossible. How could we possibly have spent so much? Did you bring us the wrong bill?"

Shocked by her reaction, Yasmine asked, "Ysabella, why are you so surprised? It's just—"

Thinking that it couldn't possibly cost much, Yasmine took the bill from Ysabella. However, her eyes also widened in shock once she saw the amount, shouting, "1.3 million dollars?"

Even Vania was astonished, repeating, "1.3 million dollars? Are you kidding me?"

Despite seeing their panicked expression, the waiter calmly explained, "The dishes included three King Salmon, two Maine Lobsters, grilled abalone, and various other seafood. You've also opened a bottle of Manny Conti. Altogether, it costs exactly 1.3 million dollars."

"Didn't Felicia say she was treating us?" Vania blurted out.

"Yes. Can you call Felicia over? I think there's some misunderstanding."

As they spoke, Felicia walked in. "What's the matter? Was the food not to your liking?"

Ysabella walked to her and asked, "Felicia, we didn't order these dishes."

Hearing that, Felicia's expression changed. "What do you mean? Were you guys planning to eat for free?"

Vania had a fiery temper, so she spoke out first. "You said you were going to treat us. Why did you suddenly put it on the bill?"

Felicia put on an innocent expression, stating, "I did give you guys a few appetizers for free. Didn't you receive it?"

Then she glanced at the salad bowls on the table.

On the side, Ashley looked pleased. Taking out her phone, she started recording Yasmine. "Guys, look. The prettiest girl in our university is trying to eat for free!"

Finally, Yasmine realized what was going on. Ashley used to be her best friend, and they studied at the same university. However, they'd had a falling out because of their university's annual hot girl selection. Yasmine had never intended to compete, but her popularity was higher than Ashley's, so she ended up getting more votes.

Ashley had been harassing her over this matter for the last few days. Now that they had discovered the truth, Yasmine said, "How dare you fool us!"

Felicia laughed casually. "I don't understand what you're talking about."

"Felicia, this is considered forced sales." Ysabella's expression was livid.

"Forced sales? Didn't you guys enjoy the meal? If you don't pay the bill, I'll have no choice but to call the cops. It's only reasonable that you have to pay for what you ate. Even if this matter were to spread out to the public, I'll be on the winning side."

"You're deliberately framing us. We won't pay a single penny!" Vania continued to curse. She had no intention to let them win.

"You're not paying? Security!" Felicia shouted, and a group of security guards in uniform entered the private room.

The three ladies looked at each other. Yasmine felt defeated; the situation wasn't looking good for them, and she didn't want the issue to get bigger.

So she asked Ysabella. "Bell, what should we do?"

Ysabella was in a dilemma too. She did have some savings, but it wasn't enough to pay the 1.3-million-dollar bill.

The only thing she could do was max out all her credit cards first. If that wasn't enough, she would have to come up with another way to solve it. Making up her mind, she was about to get her bag.

Tyrone looked at her defeated attitude and stopped her. Then he smiled at Felicia. "Ms. Rich, is this your way of doing business?"

"A useless bastard like you has no right to teach me about business. Either you pay or leave. Otherwise, I might take further action."

Soon, more people gathered at the door, making Ysabella, Vania, and Yasmine feel even more helpless.

Just then, Tyrone saw a young man walking over and felt relief wash over him. With a smile on his face, he sat back in his seat and poured himself a glass of Manny Conti.

After that, he said, "I'll pay the bill. I'm just worried you might be scared to accept it."
