Chapter 5 There Will Be a Surprise Tomorrow
Ysabella's eyes widened in astonishment, and her mouth hung open as she stared at Tyrone. This seemed to be the first time he'd gotten angry at her. She felt aggrieved all of a sudden.

"Tyrone Hendrick! You dare call yourself a man? Wow! You even dare to scold me now, huh? Why didn't you get mad at Timothy Jenkin when he humiliated your wife right in front of you? Who do you think I'm doing all of this for? Would I have had to suffer such shame if you'd been a capable man? Would I need to offer myself up on a plate, huh?"

Tyrone hung his head in silence for a long time. Indeed, he knew very well that Ysabella had been looked down on and had to suffer people talking behind her back after she'd married him.

He got distressed as he heard her sobbing, and his anger dissipated. He walked over, trying to gently pat her shoulder and comfort her, but she pushed him away.

"Don't touch me!" Disgusted, Ysabella complained, "I've had enough of you. Honestly, I'm tired after putting up with it for so many years. If we're at the end of the road, we should just divorce according to my parent's wishes."

"No. I will never agree to it." Tyrone shook his head as usual. However, it only made Ysabella roll her eyes in anger. For three years, Tyrone had never refused her anything except for divorce. He would resolutely reject it every time.

"Honey." Tyrone's tone was more gentle than before.

While keeping a safe distance from Ysabella, he smiled foolishly but sincerely and said, "Can you please believe me one more time?"

"Believe you again?"

Subconsciously, she wanted to scold him; she'd repeatedly heard him make the same promise, which had driven her to believe that a guy's word was never trustworthy.

Then she turned around, saw a serious look that she'd never seen on Tyrone's face before, and stopped herself from speaking. Although she wasn't sure if it was an illusion, she felt a sense of security from Tyrone at this moment.

Taking advantage of her silence, Tyrone moved closer and grabbed her hand. "Honey, do you remember what I'd promised you in the past? No matter what, I will never let you get hurt. So please believe me one last time, okay? Plus, there'll be a surprise tomorrow."

"Don't give me that!" She shook him away and got up to put the stockings in her bag. "You could never sell 100 housing units by tomorrow! But I'm not that vulgar—even if I'm going to dinner with Timothy, I'll won't let him sleep with me! At most, I'll only let him cop a feel!"

After that, she went out to have dinner, leaving Tyrone on the bed with a bitter smile. It seemed that Ysabella was still too innocent. She was basically walking into a trap if she attended the dinner tomorrow. After all, there were many ways Timothy could make her sleep with him in the end.

After everyone started eating, Tyrone picked up his cutlery. Yet before he could even take a bite, Belinda started scolding him, and her message was clear—get a divorce.

"Tyrone Hendrick, your time is almost up. You're earning about one thousand dollars per month. I can't imagine how you'll get ten thousand dollars. Can you even survive with that money?"

"Tsk! A thousand dollars per month? It's not even enough for me to buy cigarettes for a month," Yvan said disdainfully. In truth, he was no better than Tyrone since he was jobless and relied on his parents. Still, he always laughed at Tyrone to feel a sense of achievement.

"Mom, Yvan, can you guys stop? I want to eat in peace."

"Peace? Okay. Move out with this pathetic trash." Her father, Yannick Vaughn, who rarely talked, spoke up while eating, but he didn't look up.
