A familiar voice spoke within Andrey’s head.
“Reinareth…” Andrey mumbled.
“What did you say?” Alex and Eloise didn’t spend a second to ask.
The battle-mage’s reply came with a delay. “I think this is where you two should stop. I will go on alone.”
Reinareth. They might want your kind for the sake of self-satisfaction and daily needs, but you should know that I come from another place.
Your callout? Maybe that’s what woke me up during my meditation a few days ago.

Andrey’s eyes widely opened, as his mouth went agape. “Th---this can’t be!” He stuttered. Eloise pushed Andrey’s shoulder and asked him with concern in a gentle tone. “What happened to you?! It had been awhile since a decent mission came around. While Andrey was absent, Azazel's legion had been mainly enjoying a peaceful and quiet time. Happily for them, that was all over.
