"Dad," Marcus uttered. Mr. Thonks stood at the doorstep, with his personal assistant behind him. Kathie and the staff immediately bowed down for him.

"Let's talk, meet me at the rooftop," Mr. Thonks coldly said and led the way. Marcus bit his lips as he followed his dad to the rooftop.

The rooftop was a spacious area with an expansive view of the city skyline. As they stepped onto the rooftop, Marcus noticed the soft glow of the setting sun casting warm hues across the urban landscape. The gentle breeze swept through, carrying with it the faint sounds of the bustling city below.

Mr. Thonks gestured towards a set of plush chairs arranged near the edge of the rooftop, overlooking the cityscape. Marcus took a seat, feeling a mix of anticipation and apprehension as he waited for his father to speak.

"Marcus," his father started, but Marcus immediately interrupted him.
