Marcus nodded solemnly, his gaze unwavering as he met the assembly man's eyes. "Yes, they deserve it. That is a heinous crime; your son nearly died. But I know them, they are my friends," he affirmed. "They're not the people you think they are. They're friends of mine, and what happened was just a misunderstanding.
