Chapter 362

Trying to catch her breath, Hazel sat in the living room, her heart racing. She still couldn't believe she made it out alive, and by home to her family for some hours, she thought she would not see them again, but she had made it out alive, a feat she had doubted impossible just hours ago. The fear that had gripped her—the terror that had coursed through her veins—began to ebb away as she could now smile a little and was replaced by an overwhelming sense of relief.

Her eyes filled with tears that ran down her cheeks. She was still living.

At that moment, the sound of small, hurried footsteps echoed through the leaving. Turning around, everyone saw that it was ivy.
