Mr Luiz and his friends started remembering every other occasion they bullied and fought Marcus. The most recent, of course, was just a few days ago. Dominic remembered how he spat at Marcus. Espinoza and Burn remembered the kicks they gave him. Luiz of course remembered everything. How he wanted to cheat Marcus out of his project. He remembered the first time he laid his eyes on the project that Marcus submitted to him. He had left it over and only picked it up some days after. When he had time to calmly scan it, he was shocked by what he saw. Mr Luiz did not want to believe that Marcus could think of such a thing. But, deep down, he knew Marcus was quite capable. He remembered Marcus's qualifications when he was looking to get a job in the factory. He was shocked, because Marcus was overqualified for the job he wanted. Marcus could have, in fact, applied for the job of the manager with his qualifications. When Mr Luiz found out that he had been sacked consistently and c
“What goes around, comes around.” This was another quote Marcus remembered his father saying, consistently. His father had always been one to quote words to him and his sister. They had mostly shrugged off most of them, but most had likely been imprinted in his head and they started coming back recently. Marcus felt like someone who had just caught first breath and life after being hatched from an egg. He felt new. He knew he had changed. The old Marcus carried around a lot of hate and revenge energy. He had always fantasized about when his story would change, and he would take revenge on everyone that bullied him. Now that he was in that position, he realized that, all that had happened, helped to mould him to the man he was slowly and surely becoming. The man that would take over the Krafth empire and lead it to newer and greater heights. After Marcus told the crowd, with Mr Luiz and his friends what he wanted from them, he turned around and
The scene was a high rise building. A forty floor skyscraper. This was the headquarters of the Oscorp company. It was the enemy factory of the Krafth company. At the top most floor, a meeting was going on between the board of directors. The Oscorp company had lasted almost as long as the Krafth company. The company was made up of previous enemies at one point or the other of the Krafth’s who came together when they realized that alone, they had little to no chance of touching the Krafth’s. After this realization, they pooled their resources together and formed the famed Oscorp Corporation. The Oscorp Corporation consisted of five diff families. These families were from 5 different ethnicities. They were; The Banks family, The Carlos family, The Kakashi family, The Argent family and The Zielinski family. They all had had issues with the Krafth family in the past. It is noteworthy that the Banks family just recently got admitted as one of the major
After Marcus and Juliet discussed in length they came to a decision. Marcus could still not tell his wife about his change in status and he would start handling some of the company's businesses from here. Also, Juliet would make sure she sternly reminds the workers of the factory not to go out and start telling people about the change of managers in the factory. Juliet stood up. It was time for her to leave. “I'm going now.” she said. “Alright.” Marcus replied. He stood up and looked at his sister. He had always been taller than her. They both smiled. Marcus hugged his sister tightly. “Don't overwork yourself anymore, I'm here now.” Marcus said in her ears. There was that confident aura again, Juliet thought. It made her want to rely fully on him. Juliet left the office first. She was followed closely by her two guards in the room and those outside. She walked in silence outside while reminiscing when they had nothing, rather still, when the
Marcus dispersed the crowd. He told them to return to their place of work. He also assigned a new workplace to Mr Luiz and his friends. Mr Luiz had to pack his things out of Marcus’s new office. The manager’s office. This did not take a long while as it was done quickly. Marcus returned to his office after that. He looked at the pile of paper on his desk. He laughed. He did not know where to start from. He decided to sit down first. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. He wondered who it was. He just talked to his workers. He was sure they were not going to be needing anything anytime soon. “Come in,” he said. A young lady walked in. He was shocked. She was dressed in office wear. She looked… ravishing. That was the only word that came to his mind. She was an average height woman, whose face card was top notch. Though she was not smiling, he knew if she did, her smile would definitely light up the room. She was well built, as ev
It was the evening. Work had closed. It was time to go home. Marcus called Belle in. “Belle, work is over for today. Do you have a place to stay already?” “Yes sir,” she replied. “All of that has already been provided by Miss Juliet.” “I have been arranged to live in a hotel not far from your home sir. So I would be close by if you need anything.” “Alright then.” Marcus replied. Do you have a car to drive there, or would you like to ride with me till you get a car?” “I was going to get a car before tomorrow. You shouldn't worry, Mr Krafth.” Belle replied. “It's no worries. I'll just drive you to the place, you'll sort everything out by yourself.” Marcus replied. Marcus did not have any hidden agenda on Belle. In fact, he still loves his wife, Chantelle, a lot. So, he decided to respect her. He was just asking Belle out of goodwill, and so everything was done efficiently. He did not want anything to lag behind. Marcus got ready to leave
Marcus was still reminiscing on everything that had happened today while he walked to the front door. His turn around in life, how he won't be bullied again at work. He was happy. All that was left was meeting his wife. As Marcus got to the entrance of his house, he realized something. He had forgotten his key, again. Marcus did not like stressing his wife after he got home from work. He didn't like knocking, though it seemed like it was slowly becoming a habit. It was likely the excitement from what was going to happen that made him forget the key in the morning. He was about to knock, when he noticed a paper at the entrance. It was stuck on the door, by the side. Marcus picked it up. It was likely from his wife. He wondered what it was about. Chantelle went out. She was invited to a social gathering by her parents along with Richard Banks. Marcus was stunned. He knew his wife understood what she was doing. She understood that he didn't
Chantelle had the best time. Today was the most fun she had had since right before she got married to Marcus. She remembered picking her dad's call. “Hello Dad.” “Hello Chantelle,’ he replied. “Let's go out tonight. It's going to be me, your mom, your sister and Richard.” “But dad, I don't think Marcus is going to be happy when he finds out Richard was there with us.” “Don't even. Don't even bring Marcus, that good for nothing man up. When he finds out, there's nothing he can do about it.” Her dad replied. “I mean, what tangible thing has he offered you since you married him? Tonight is just going to be a calm night. There's no need to overthink what you'll wear. I'm sure you'll look really good either way.” Chantelle sighed deeply. Her dad was still her dad. He knew how to convince her fully. Besides, Marcus also took his key out, she thought. Chantelle went to check. She saw Marcus’s key inside. She shook her head. What was always going on in t
