Marcus had been trying to explain to Dave about some things he had gone through since they had last parted.

“Did you know all the clothes I had when we were still in school are still the clothes I wear now?” Marcus laughed.

“I thought you already had them way before we got to school?” Dave asked.

Marcus sighed. Tables had turned. Now he did not have to live the same way he had been living for the longest time.

“Yeah. Still the same clothes. Most have faded and look really plain now too.”

“I think I blame myself too,” Marcus continued.

“If I had made money earlier and was able to fend for Chantelle, maybe this situation would not have happened,” he said and sighed.
