-Millie's pov:-

I heard someone whistle. You could tell it was getting closer and closer by the second.

"Millie don't you understand?! I'm not ready to do this anymore. I never believed in always. But his eyes shone so brightly so I thought maybe, just maybe, he'd meant it."

I felt so, so sorry for him. I just wanted to end all of his suffer and make him live a happy life but I can't. I can't let him end it right here and now.

"Adrien I get it but why give up. I get the grieving, I really do but you have to hold those thoughts just a little longer until you're safe."

"Don't tell me you know how I feel because you don't know anything!" He yelled completely encouraged by anger.

I didn't see the figure coming towards us step by step before it was too late.

"I never said I feel anything because I don't Adrien. But I sure as hell will start feeling if I'm going to lose you too!"

"Millie go without me, you'll die too without Even wanting it."

"I'm not going anywhere without you Adrien, I refuse to leave anyone behind, not even you."

I was so close to actually burst out in tears but I had to try convincing him. But I was late, a gun was put to Adrien's head.

Adrien pushed me to the ground hoping I had learned my lesson, but I sure as hell hadn't.

"Do it! I fucking dare you!" Adrien yelled right into his face.

I stood up from the ground and tackled Adrien to the ground.

He pulled the trigger.

It missed Adrien, but it hadn't missed me.

I had tackled Adrien against a tree and with a single clap I had hit him unconscious.

I looked down at my stomach as I felt this pain sting on my side so, so bad.

It made me feel so sick. I felt like I needed to throw up.

More blood and blood came flowing out of my stomach.

I wasn't going to make this. But I was glad I was able to save Adrien.

"Someone help!" I yelled collapsing to my knees.

That psycho ran off like he didn't just attempt murder.

I simply wasn't able to hold my own weight anymore, i felt myself getting dizzier and dizzier.

I shed a few tears of happiness. I really hope I did make it up to him.

I gestured a look at Adrien and I realized something.

His vest.

I quickly crawled my way to Adrien and grabbed his vest.

I tied it tightly around the wound to prevent losing more blood.

It worked.

After some time I managed to stand up again.

Not strongly but it was progress. I had lost a horrifying amount of blood so it was logical.

I found a pocket knife on the ground.

That psycho must've dropped it.

I picked it up and made sure to keep it really tight in my hand, I was already weak so I needed to be prepared for anything.

"Millie?" I heard Jasper say. "Millie you survived?!" She asked amazed.

"Halfly." I replied.

"Can you walk?" She asked.

"Yes." I replied quickly knowing Every step I'd take would hurt like hell.

"We'll look for the others, come." He said walking away.

I tried to follow him but it stung so badly.

After six steps my body gave up.

"Millie don't lie, you can't walk, can you?"

I sat down against a tree hoping the pain would somehow vanish.

Jasper came closer. "I can't look at you like this."

He reached out for the dagger inside of my hand and carefully took it away from me.

"I'm so sorry. But I wanna be the one to take you out of your pain."

He put the dagger to my chest.

"You're going to be the one to slow us all down if you're still alive. I'm sorry, truly."

He digged the dagger into my chest and twisted it thrice.

"I- could've lived." Were the last words that managed to escape my lips.

When it all started to go vague I started to lose all senses of reality.

Is this how it feels to be betrayed? Or should I feel glad she helped me out of my missery?

-Lola's pov:-

I hid in the Bush with Warren since nobody else's life was precious enough to come with us.

I wasn't planning on dying yet, and neither was Warren, at least I assume.

When it felt like the coast was clear I left the bush.

"Stay here until I come back knowing it's safe." I ordered.

I know I just said I didn't wanna die but I also didn't wanna have anybody else killed.

If I die because I've saved somebody's else's life, it's worth the loss.

It seemed like it was safe but I heard Jasper his voice far away from here.

"Warren? Warren come! They're alive!" I yelled as I moved towards Jasper's voice.

When I arrived I had to swallow a lot of pain.

I immediately got a perfect image of Millie laying still having lost all of his blood.

God what has been done to him.

"Where's Adrien?!" I shouted hoping he was okay, he couldn't have died, he's too young.

I saw his unconscious body laying against a tree.

I immediately made my way to him and felt his pulse.

I felt nothing, god he can't be dead.

He didn't seem to have any wounds expect on the back of his head.

He must've fallen and hit his head against something.

I put my hand against his forehead to feel his temperature.

It was way too cold.

"Does anyone have a jacket? Adrien is way too low on temperature."

I looked at everybody but no one had theirs with them.

"Fire, we need to make a fire. Does anyone know how?"

"Isn't fire like a really big hazard if made in the middle of a forest?" Jasper asked.

He knows something we don't, and I'm going to make sure that won't stay a secret for that long.

"No, it has rained. There's no way the ground is too dry for this, come on it's for the sake of Adrien!"

"I know how." Said Warren.

"What are you waiting for?!" I yelled.

He grabbed two stones and collided them together over and over again until a spark managed to catch fire.

It spread right as Warren hoped it would.

I layed Adrien close to the fire but not too close so we wouldn't burn him.

We sat around the fire to warm a bit up ourselves too.

But I somehow couldn't take my eyes off of Adrien.

C'mon, wake up. You're too young to die. If anyone should make it out alive of here it's you.

-Elijah's pov:-

Eventually, me, Jack and Walter made it back to Tom's body.

And it reminded me I had to have a word with Walter.

"Walter why didn't you tell us." I said immediately getting to point.

"Tell you what?"

"You were looking the exact direction that killer came from yet you didn't alarm any of us it was coming."

"Listen man I knew Silas would budge. He had just lost his partner and he wasn't gonna last long anyways. That poor thing, so fragile. The only thing I did was getting him out of his missery. You should be happy that thanks to me you're still able to say that we are alive. Plus, I did respond quick enough to get a hold of the keys."

"That still isn't a reason why you didn't alarm us. We could've overpowered him with the five of us. We could've at least saved Esper." I responded back hella mad.

"How could I have known he'd attack Esper?! I'm not a fortune teller! I'm sorry I didn't make it go your way but I refuse to die because of someone else's mistake. I'd rather die due to a dumb mistake made by me."

"Guys?" Said Jack interrupting the fight.

"What?!" I exclaimed loudly.

"Do you see that fire over there far in the woods?" Asked Jack.

"It might be a trap." Said Walter.

"What if it's the other group?" I questioned.

"We're not sure, as far as we know this killer is way smarter and stronger than any of us. Can we please just wait for the sun to appear?" Walter offered."

"Actually, I might have one final idea." Said Jack.

-Warren's pov:-

We had been sitting around the fire in dead silence for quite a while now, but there was still no movement to be seen in Adrien.

In what coma did he land?!

It took about half an hour for a miracle to happen.

"Adrien? Adrien are you there?!" Lola yelled.

Lola sat back next to him shaking him gently.

"Adrien! Adrien can you hear me?!"

"Lola leave it." Said Jasper. "he's gone."

I saw his finger twitch.

All those final sparks of hope that had left my body such a long time ago all came flying back to me.

"Lola keep going!" I yelled making sure Lola wouldn't stop trying to get Adrien's attention.

"His pulse and temperature are back on level!" Lola said smiling from ear to ear.

"Where am I?" Spoke a broken voice.

Lola hugged Adrien very tight.

"You're back." She said whilst never letting go of the hug.

I joined the hug hoping he'd never do something like that again.

After a while Adrien finally came back to senses.

"Where's Millie?!" He shouted looking around him.

Nobody wanted to say he died.

"He ran off." Jasper lied.

What happens in the dark always comes to light.

He'll find out eventually. Luckily it were Jasper his words and not mine.
