-Adrien's pov:-
We finally got there. Everyone grabbed their bags out of the car they've put it in.I checked to see how many people had backpacks and had hands free to carry some of the camping stuff.Three, three persons had hands free, that'll do."Millie, Tom and Warren. Can you three come help me over here, I need some hands." I asked as polite as I could. They came. "We'll need to carry these two gas bottles, two tents, and these crates filled with food and drinks."I quickly realized this wasn't gonna work as I hoped it would. Some people are going to have to walk multiple times. It was a two mile walk so that would be an awful lot of work.I guess we'll have to deal with it seeing we don't have any other choice.I handed Millie a gas bottle and the other bottle I handed to Warren.I gave a tent to Tom and carried the other tent myself."Alright, it's a walk of two miles so make sure you have some water in reach." I told everyone before leaving. We walked deeper inside of the woods. We weren't allowed to drive here so that's why we had to walk.Silas whipped out his phone and tried to text someone."Why won't I get service?" He asked aggressively."It's due to the high and many trees that are blocking the signal drastically, plus it has rained yesterday so the leaves are wet blokking it even worse." Said James. "I've done my research." He finished."So you're telling me we'll be here three days long without signal?""Well, yeah."He put his phone back into his pocket and sighed softly. It was really fun to see who'd walk with who.James immediately came to me. Millie, Lola and Jasper walked together, Silas and Tom also did, not to forget about Warren and Walter, at last we had Elijah, Jack and Esper next to each other.Of course we were walking in a big group but the group quicky kinda divorced into 5 duos and trios if you get what I mean, it's kinda hard to explain."How's your car ride been after my little inconvenience?" I asked."Well the first half was horrible, not because I didn't like the people in my car don't get my wrong I can really find it with them. It was just really overwhelming having to pay attention to the navigation, hearing six voices around you, needing to keep track of you and also not get into a car accident.""I'm sorry I should've used a navigator too but I also really need to be having a charged phone for if anything goes horribly wrong.""Adrien you just heard what I told Silas. I'd be really surprised if you're gonna be having even a tad of service in these woods." He said. "On the other hand I do have bandages and syringes with me for if anyone gets stung by some sort of insect." Finished James."I'm so stupid, I should've brought that with me, I'm responsible for everyone here." I said filled with quilt."I knew you'd forget that's why I have it Adrien, besides, we're responsible not only you. I'm not feeling like putting that pressure on you so you're not alone here."James had always been like this towards me. He always had been and always will be the best friend I've ever gotten."Thank you, you really don't know how much that means to me, really.""Oh I do know how much that means to you, that's why I say it." He joked.I laughed. "Of course you do.""Oh yeah almost forgot to tell you, I'm really proud of you, honestly. When we started planning I had zero faith you'd pull this off. But the more the progress you made the more and more I started believing.""So you didn't believe in me at first?" I teased."You know I didn't mean it like that." James uttered."I hope you know I would've never been able to plan all this if it wasn't for you. Without you I would've never become the person I am now, I'm proud of who I became and all of that proudness is there because of you and I would never know how to thank you for that.""Wow let's not get emotional here." Exclaimed James."Ur right, let's not." I murmured."Ur right, let's not." Mimicked James."Did you just mimick me?""What are you gonna do about it if I did?" He solicited."What if I'll kill you?" I offered."In that case, no. No I didn't mimick you.""That's what I thought." I brought out ending the conversation.-Walter's pov:-"Two miles. Two whole miles. It was thanks to all the mud and wet dirt we weren't allowed to drive to our camping sight.I knew I should've taken less stuff. My backs were so damn heavy."Do you have this sort of uneasy feeling? I just feel like something bad is going to be happening soon." I asked Warren."No Walter I do not. You're just a paranoid person, try to calm down, it's not like we're going to die or anything. James probably has his aid kit with him so we're good." Warren replied."Still, it feels odd.""Walter stop thinking about the bad things when you only have good things upon you. Adrien invited you for a reason, it's because he wants to have fun with you.""But what if-""No, stop." Interrupted Warren. "Have you drank anything today?" He asked trying to chance my subject."One glass before I had gotten on my train." I replied. He grabbed a water bottle out of his bag."Here, drink some of mine. You'll need it." He insisted.I hesitated a first but after took a few sips before handing it back.I noticed his bottle had a built-in compass. Don't know why but I found it pretty cool."Thank you.""Don't make a deal out of it!" He spoke smiling.-Millie's pov:-Still couldn't believe it, two miles, that's a lot to walk with, including your bags for an entire camp. But I did have company so it wasn't the worst."What have you been doing lately Millie you haven't been live in ages." Asked Lola."Oh you know, I've just been really busy with filming video's and trying not to lose friendships that's all.""I guess that's fair." Added JasperI overheard a conversation with Silas being irritated about not getting any signal. I didn't know that would be a thing but I don't have any problems with it, I guess it just makes the experience better."I really appreciate our friendship by the way." Announced Lola out of nowhere."Well, yeah, so do I but it came a bit out of nowhere. Save it for the serious situations okey?" I responded."Oh okey Millie, I see how it is. You know what, once we'll get in such a serious situation I'll make sure I'll say it again.""Do your thing." Responded Jasper.I saw Millie and Jasper make eye contact and both turning red very obvious."Do you two have something to tell me?" I asked confused. They both looked at each other busted."We're, dating." Replied Lola carefully.I saw Jasper smiling at me hoping to get a supportive reaction."So, I'm officially a third weel now?" I asked them back."Well, yeah. But we don't mind, we've just begun dating so we aren't that close yet."I just smiled at them knowing I was a tiny bit yealous.I grabbed my phone to do a attempt on checking my messages but forgot about the inconvenience about the signal in these woods. I quickly put my phone back into my pocket and started a new conversation."What do you guys hope we'll be doing on these days?""I don't care at all, as long as people know how to keep a tent clean I'm fine with anything. Seriously, I can't take it if people get into my room and make a mess so I won't Like it if someone makes our tent dirty." Uttered Jasper."I really hope we'll do a card game with everyone at a camp fire or just sing songs at a campfire with everyone. I've always dreamt of doing that." Replied Lola. "What about you Millie?" She finished."I don't care, as long as I get my sleep.""Oh yeah of course when aren't you asleep?" Queried Jasper."I mean, as far as I'm concerned I'm awake at the moment." I answered."What if you're not?""I am.""But what if you're not?""Guys what the hell is this conversation." Interrupted Lola."If I'm gonna be honest with you Lola I don't even know."We had some laughs but all things come to an end eventually. We had arrived at the sight.-Tom's pov:-I immediately found my way to Silas and started to walk with him. After all, he is my closest friend and I am his best friend. But I don't think I wanna remain friends, I so badly want to take our friendship a step beyond friends. But I don't think he feels the same about me though.Although we both aren't really types to start a conversation we still find our ways, somehow.Silas did quickly grab his phone which honestly, wasn't that big of a surprise to anyone."Why won't I get service?" He asked aggressively."It's due to the high and many trees that are blocking the signal drastically, plus it has rained yesterday so the leaves are wet blocking it even worse." Said James. "I've done my research." He finished."So you're telling me we'll be here three days long without signal?""Well, yeah."He put his phone back into his pocket and sighed softly."Is it now time to socialize with me?" I asked him."Yeah sure whatever."I love to see him grumpy, he acts so dumb it gets funnier each time."So, how are you? We haven't quite spoken lately." I asked making the beginning question."I suppose I'm fine. He replied boldly. "You?""I'm great! I've recently been hanging out with friends often so I had a great time." I answered."Sounds fun."Normally he talks way more, I'll just let him cool down from that awful news about not receiving any signal.-Jack's pov:-Two miles, that's do-able. I usually go for a walk every single day so two miles is a piece of cake for me."Are you excited for this trip?" Asked Esper."Yeah I'm hyped! Just not quite excited about setting our tents up." I responded."I'm down for anything honestly. As long as I get my own explore time." Replied Elijah."Elijah if you bring your stupid adventure up one more time I will make sure my lawyer hears about this.""And what's he gonna do?"I made sure to stay out of this argument so it wouldn't be used against me later."It's a she. And I'll make sure that she makes sure that you'll never ever want to bring up any expeditions ever again.""Sounds exciting when are you going to call your lawyer?" Asked Elijah."Once we'll get out of these bushes.""Who said we'll make it out of these so called bushes?" I stepped in Ominous. The others just stared at me like I had just commuted a murder or something."Chill, I was just joking.""Just to clarify, you're not planning on commiting arson or murder?" Queried Esper."As far as I'm concerned I'm not." I replied."Well I have to believe you for now."After that conversation it got awkward.Remember how I said it would be a piece of cake? Well it wasn't. But luckily, it ended sooner than I thought it would. We were there.-adrien's pov:-The moment we got there I took matter into my own hands. I grabbed the attention of everyone which was kinda hard seeing how many people we had."It's getting kinda late and dark so we might wanna hurry this a bit up. We're going to need to set up two tents. We'll never make it to set up the kitchen tent too so we'll be stretching our hands over that by morning. For now we'll form ourselves into two teams of six. These teams will also be the people you'll be sleeping with in your tent so choose wisely okay?" James immediately approached me with a horribly proud look. I smiled at him as he gave me a hug. "I'm so proud of you, you're finally becoming a man Adrien." He said whilst still in the hug."Thank you, thank you so much." As he let go of the hug I saw Millie, Lola and Jasper standing close to me and James."Just to clarify, we're standing here to be joining your tent." Said Jasper."Yeah, we figured you two would definitely share a tent and thought you both ar
-James's pov:-The crates of food Warren and I had to carry were heavier than I expected so it took longer than it should've took but we were there."You had to ask me for this?" Asked Warren visually out of breath."Come on we're here don't exaggerate." I replied.I immediately noticed the tents being set up pretty good. Honestly I wasn't expecting that with those people, and to be fair you can't even blame me!I heard one of the zippers of the tent and saw a figure coming out of the left tent."James? James is that you?" Said Adrien frantically."Yes it's me!" I yelled back.Adrien ran towards and fell into my arms. "I've been worried sick! I thought I'd lost you! What took you so long?!" He asked with mixed feelings. I felt his sadness and anger melt together into one emotion.I held him close to me."I'm sorry, the crates were heavier than expected. But you're tired Adrien. We all need a rest including you. Come, let's go." I said letting go of him."Don't ever do that again." "
-Tom's pov:-Honestly I was so tired. But I just couldn't seem to get myself to sleep. I heard Walter rolling over and over so I guess he must be having the same issues as I'm having right now.I layed at the door side of the tent so I could quickly get out which was nice. I finally found a comfy position. I felt it, I could fall asleep like this. Until I heard footsteps. Who the fuck would be out so late? Wait, maybe James and Warren finally came back? No, no that can't be them. They've came back before. Who? It kept me paranoid. I sat up in my bed and tried to peek through the holes of the unopened windows. It sure looked like somebody was standing infront of the tent of the others but on the other hand it didn't.No, no it can't be. Did it just move? I heard a horribly loud bang. Louder than loud. Impossible to not hear. That was the final drip for me. I looked around seeing everyone sitting right up. Apparently the bang had awoken everyone.I heard yelling and crying come
-Adrien's pov:-I still couldn't get James's limp body off of my thoughts. It kept bugging me over and over. He promised. I know he couldn't have avoided this but it hurted more than anything. But Warren was right. Instead of showing grief, I should make my loss a reason to keep fighting and make sure this never happens again. In the time the five of us had already ran deep into the forest. It was too dark to be able to see properly so we had an absolute amount of zero clue where we were.We stopped to get ourselves rest and some breath."This is all your fault Adrien." Said Millie."Millie no, don't do this right now." Commanded Lola."It's the truth. Without him non of us would be in danger right now. Without him we wouldn't have lost James. Without him-" "Millie shut up!" Shouted Warren. "This is not the time for arguments." But personally, I wasn't gonna let Millie's argument gonna slide."You think I wanted this? You actually believe I wanted to lose one of my closest friends
-Lola's pov:-I was trying so hard to keep order with everyone and keep them calm. But it was hard. Very hard. I mean we have just witnessed a murder so it can't be easy for them, neither for me dont get me wrong. It's just that I never really knew how to express my feelings. We waited for what seemed like an hour and were making our way back to the camp.I knew it was a dumb idea but we might as well try right? If we stay in one place he'll find us sooner or later anyways.I saw our camp sight in the distance. I hoped so bad we weren't going to be having someone over. But I could feel it, we weren't alone. "Hold on." Said Jasper stopping everyone from walking. "Are we sure we want to do this? It's dangerous, very dangerous, isn't it better to just hide until the sun will rise?" "I'm certain." I replied. "We'll have to. That psycho has the upper hand, he knows every move we make. If we don't get out of here he'll make an end to all of us." Reacted Millie. So he finally came back to
-Elijah's pov:-Silas was not himself anymore. If anyone would ask him anything it would be some bold reaction of a simple amount of two words. I wanted to be there for him but I'm just not a good comforter. No matter how hard I seem to try I simply can't do it. My whole entire life has been like this. I've never really gotten the chance to ever speak out my opinion. It's always oh Elijah can take those jokes, oh Elijah stop doing this, oh Elijah why are you even here? It's never how are you? It's never are you okay? It's never we should stop cracking everything Elijah says down.I'm fed up with this. Even in a life or death situation nobody seems to think about me.That leads me to think. "Why do I still put energy into them, when the only thing they do is taunting and damaging.I shouldn't give them a second chance anymore if they didn't even put the energy into giving me my first. If I'm not good enough to be a part of this, why wouldn't you tell me? If I'm not good enough quit
-Millie's pov:-It had been silent for too long. None of us actually had any idea what to do next. Somebody must've taken those keys before we could, we just didn't know who.It could've also been the other group, I really hoped it was them.Honestly everything would be better than that psycho having control over those keys.I swear, anything.I also felt horribly sorry for attacking Adrien the way I did.Honestly I panicked so hard I wasn't in control of what I was doing, I swear if I could turn back the clock I would. Not even to stop us from camping, but just to be able to say sorry.Even though I had just seen someone murdering my friend it didn't give me rights to put the blame on a unstable child. I swear I'd do anything to be able to return everything to how it was.I didn't mean to, I swear I didn't mean to.He's been through so much, much more than a man should go through, much more than anyone should go through.I shouldn't have done it, I shouldn't have yelled at him. H
-Walter's pov:-Our moments of silence was broken by a fired gunshot coming from far away in the woods."What was that?!" Asked Esper."A gunshot." Silas replied cold."Does that mean he's back?" Elijah asked already starting to panic. "I don't think so, the gunshot came from far, far away. I think we're good for now. We'll need to get on the move though. The earlier we reach that car the higher our chances are of surviving." Silas replied.I see we have a new leader. Didn't approve of it but whatever.I knew the chances would lessen significantly due to the lack of vision. It would be so much better to hide and wait for the sun to appear. With this leader we might as well all give up right now."How the hell do you think you'll find those cars without sunlight?" I asked.Everyone seemed shocked I had just said a sentence. "Well do you have a better idea?" Asked Silas bossy. "What happens if I do?" I asked before answering."Might as well do your own thing while we do mine." "In t
