Still in panic mode, he greeted them trying to feign happiness and ignorance but they weren't beaten about the bush and stated exactly what their intention for the visit was.

"Hold on a whole, gentlemen. Can we just have a formal chit chat?" He asked trying his possible best to keep the situation under control.

"All right." They finally concurred after exchanging glances and asking for their unspoken agreement.

"Please prepare coffee for our guests and—" Emily's father was saying trying to liven the atmosphere but one of the directors there stopped him abruptly.

"We came to have a business conversation sir, not drink leisure coffee." The man said with a stern voice and in normal circumstances, Emily's father would have flared up but he tried to keep his cool. "But it's rude to come to someone's office and not offer a drink," Emily's father countered, his voice still calm. "It's a sign of respect." The man then nodded and apologized, and the two men continued their conversation.
