The black SUV rolled up to the sprawling gates of the Miller family villa, its grandeur a testament to their immense wealth. John stepped out first, his posture calm and composed, while Lucas trailed behind him, clutching his bruised face and muttering under his breath.

“This is insane,” Lucas hissed. “You think my father is just going to hand over the Millenium Mall project because you waltzed in here?”

John shot him a cold glance. “You’ll see soon enough.”

As they entered the villa, the opulent decor didn’t faze John. He had one goal in mind, and no amount of luxury would distract him. In the grand sitting room, Thomas Miller, a tall man with graying hair and a commanding presence, sat at the head of a long table. Beside him was Henry Chase, an older gentleman with sharp, discerning eyes.

Thomas’s gaze hardened as he spotted Lucas’s bruised face. “What is the meaning of this?” he barked, his voice echoing through the room. “Lucas, what happened to you?”

“He happened!” Lucas pointed accusingly at John. “This lunatic barged into my hotel room and attacked me!”

John stepped forward, his expression unyielding. “Your son brought it upon himself. I’m here to discuss a deal.”

Thomas rose from his seat, his eyes blazing. “You attack my son and then dare to walk into my home with demands? You’ve got guts, I’ll give you that.”

Lucas smirked, clearly expecting John to back down. But John didn’t flinch. “Guts or not, I’m here for a reason. You’ll want to hear me out.”

Henry Chase leaned forward, his curiosity piqued. “And why should we listen to you?”

John met his gaze with quiet confidence. “Because I can help you.”

“Help us?” Thomas scoffed, sitting back down. “You’re delusional. Get out before I call security.”

John ignored the threat and turned his attention to Thomas. “Your heart disease is worsening. You’ve been experiencing sharp chest pains and shortness of breath. And your high blood pressure is a ticking time bomb.”

The room fell silent. Thomas’s eyes widened, his bravado faltering. “How… how do you know that?”

“I can see it,” John said simply. “Your pulse, your complexion, the faint tremor in your hand. You’ve likely been taking medication, but it’s not working as effectively as it used to.”

Lucas’s mouth fell open, and Henry’s expression turned serious. “Go on,” Henry said.

John shifted his gaze to Henry. “And you… You’ve suffered a severe injury to your meridian system. It’s been hindering your martial arts progress for years. Am I wrong?”

Henry’s eyes narrowed. “That’s… correct.”

“I can treat both of you,” John continued, his voice calm but firm. “But I’ll need something in return.”

Thomas leaned forward, his skepticism battling with intrigue. “And what exactly do you want?”

“The Millenium Mall project,” John stated. “Transfer it to the Wilson family.”

Lucas shot to his feet. “This is outrageous! You can’t seriously be considering this, Dad!”

“Sit down, Lucas,” Thomas snapped, his tone brooking no argument. Lucas sank back into his chair, sulking.

Thomas turned back to John, studying him carefully. “And if I refuse?”

“Then you’ll keep suffering,” John said bluntly. “And eventually, your conditions will kill you. But if you let me treat you, not only will you recover, but you’ll have my skills at your disposal.”

Henry spoke up, his tone measured. “Thomas, if what he says is true, this man isn’t just a common thug. He’s a master in his field. Losing a project is a small price to pay for your health.”

Thomas’s jaw tightened, clearly torn. “And you’re confident you can treat us?”

“Completely,” John replied. “But the deal must be made now, and it must be handled discreetly. The project transfer will happen without my wife knowing of my involvement.”

Henry chuckled, stroking his chin. “Interesting. Why the secrecy?”

“That’s none of your concern,” John said curtly.

Thomas exhaled sharply, tapping his fingers on the table. “Fine. We’ll do it. But if you fail, don’t think for a second you’ll leave this villa alive.”

John smiled faintly. “Fair enough.

As the room was prepared for treatment, John reflected on the exchange. They didn’t expect me to stand my ground, let alone negotiate from a position of power. But this is only the beginning.

He observed Thomas as he sat tensely in a reclining chair, his stern exterior betraying a flicker of apprehension. “Relax,” John said. “Stress only worsens your condition.”

Thomas glared at him but did as he was told. John placed his hands lightly on Thomas’s wrist, closing his eyes as he tapped into the Dragon Way Bloodline. A faint glow emanated from his palms, startling everyone in the room.

“What’s happening?” Lucas whispered, inching closer.

“Stay back,” Henry warned. “Let him work.”

After a few moments, John pulled back and looked Thomas in the eye. “Your arteries are partially blocked, and your blood pressure has been dangerously high for weeks. I’ll perform acupuncture and use herbal remedies to alleviate the pressure and improve circulation. But you’ll need to make lifestyle changes.”

Thomas blinked, his stoic mask slipping. “You’re certain this will work?”

“It already has,” John said confidently. “But you’ll feel the full effects in a few hours.”

Next, he turned to Henry. “Your treatment will take longer, but I can restore your meridians with the right techniques. It’ll take multiple sessions.”

Henry nodded, his respect for John evident. “Understood. I’m impressed, Doctor Carter.”

After finishing the initial treatments, John packed his tools and stood. “The deal is done. The project transfer should be completed within twenty-four hours.”

Thomas nodded reluctantly, still processing the events. “You’ll have your project. But let me be clear—if you cross me or fail to deliver, there will be consequences.”

“Understood,” John said with a faint smirk. “But you’ll find I never fail.”

As John left the villa, Lucas trailed after him, his expression a mix of anger and fear. “You think you’ve won, don’t you? My father may trust you now, but don’t think I’ll let this slide.”

John stopped and looked over his shoulder. “You’re welcome to try, Lucas. Just don’t make the same mistake twice.”

With that, he walked away, his confidence unshaken. The project is as good as secured. Now it’s time to prove toOlivia that I’m not the man she thought I was.
