Four years ago, at the Western outer edges of Benulis that border with the Sultanate of Pia, a desert country whose population is far different from that of Benulis’ and has always been one to regularly cause skirmishes with all their neighbors.
Like any other year, the men of Pia would send their youths to battle their enemy’s forces as a trial of manhood, those who survive would be pronounced warriors and would get to return home with honor while those who fail to survive only bring shame to their families with the death of a weakling.
